I have a 2013-build production number. Took about a week and a half to get.

Very excited to track the M3 in the future.

I think most BMW sales advisors should have allocations at this point and be able to place orders now. Have you placed an order yet?

My order has been placed, but my sales guy says he won't have a production number for a few weeks.

I'm not sure. I think he does because he said he was able to get my order into the order bank. He said I will get one for sure.

tbone, your sales guy sounds a lot like mine. I'm starting to think we're dealing with the same guy, as I got basically that same statement.

I got my production order # from Ryan last night. ED pickup on 9/7.

I will plan to arrive Munich 9/7 at 7:40am and fly back Monday around noon. I will not buy plane tickets until Ryan gets 100% confirmation that the 7th is a lock. Just a quick two days to play.

Probably, based on your location. I shot him an email and he replied. I asked why certain dealers are getting production numbers already but his dealership has not.

He acknowledged that certain dealers are getting prod numbers first because those dealers don't have any M3's on the lot, whereas his dealer still has 8 on the lot, and so they have to "wait". I suppose this makes sense. He does assure me (he has a few times) that I *will* get an M3. He says production of mine will be in August and expects a production number at the end of this month to early July. *fingers crossed* I just want one, don't have to be the 1st one.

I'm not in that much of a hurry either, but it would be nice to have an M3 while there's still a bit of summer left. I guess the moral of this story is if you want to order an M3 and get it ASAP, you should find a dealer without any M3s on the lot.

Looks like my wait is the longest. I placed my order for a euro delivery w/ Steve Thomas BMW on 5/23, confirmed the build sheet on 5/29 & 6/1. Unfortunately, I'm still waiting for a production number. Had hoped to pick up in Sept.

Is he sure? I thought the factories shut down in August in Germany.

My dealer also assured me I'd get an allocation for July, and I submitted my final specs 2.5 weeks ago, but I haven't gotten a production # and so I'm hoping it is indeed July and not later...

I didn't ask if he was sure. I think that was his way of telling me I'm not in the 1st wave of production

lol at us. What mods do you guys have?

I currently have the Procede Rev 3 + PWM Meth kit that will be going on the M3. My Hawk race pads (for my 335) are still in good condition and are also a direct fit on the M3. I'm deciding on exhaust but currently leaning toward MFR Engineering mid section with an Akrapovic slip rear. The exhaust will be purchased prior to delivery and installed as part of my "Day 1 mods" All in preparation for a blower TBD after a few thousand (hard) miles.

Nice!!

I'm helping Spain with their debt problem with a sweet trip this fall. Hopefully followed by another to Germany the following year to pick up an F30 M3.
