I think with all that pwr tires is the main issue.

I think Drew was on Drag tires when he did 11.88

I think he ran same tires, but my car puts a lot more power down..and overwhelmed the tires...spun in 1st and 2nd. Need hoosier, or something with less tread and wider

Nice traps bro , I know what u mean about traction, I ran with my stock ps2 19s when I went and spun for almost the whole 1/4 mile. lol ur times are very similar to mine. Good to see the Gintani SC kit is consistant on power. I beleive I trapped 122.7mph and my fastest time was 12.21 But once u go SC its really more about the trap speed, thats what really shows the car is moving. Stickys car should be trapping 130+ very soon .

lol i was just gonna ask that question how many miles and if you had any problems with it.

you have a DCT right

also if you can say do you know how much the kit is that you have and about how much labor is required??

also do you have to get it done at Gintani or can they ship it and you can get it done at a shop by you??

thanks

Im 6mt. U might wanna call Gintani directly, they can answer all of ur questions. I received a 30% discount on my kit but only because I was their first customer for the SC kit and I received a semi sponsorship deal. Heres the shops number (818) 787-8260.

so glad to hear you have the 6sp manual. that thing must be so much fun with the real manual

curious what is your redline at now with the SC kit?? or safely anyway without hurting the car.

i always said i wouldn't SC but if they price it right and the redline isn't to low i may go that route in the future

thanks for info

No prob. man. The redline is the same as stock and it cuts off when passed with fuel cut off just like stock. When I first got my kit installed I would would forget to shift all the time because the sc makes ur car climb rpms a lot faster but fuel cut off saved my ass every time.

When tuning the SC kit, Gintani made sure all of the stock protection functions that were put in by BMW from factory were retained. They did not raise the rpm or try to push timing on the engine just to get a few more ponies. They played it very safe, which was my main concern when getting this kit. They have very little timing in this engine and have pulled a lot from stock. I personally requested to b shown the graph and explained in detail, which they gladly did. Im fairly experienced in BMW engines and was very impresed with their tuning. This is why I feel very safe when pushing my car to the limit everyday, wether it b daily driving, at the track, Mexico runs, etc.

When u get a kit installed by them they can explain how and why everything was done on the kit. Everything has a purpose they didnt try to build their kit around looks, they built it around purpose and power...and trust me they did a dam good job at it. I can thank these guys enough for all their efforts and awesome customer service they offer. Anytime u deal with them they treat u like a friend and not just some customer. U tell them what ur looking for and they build it for u.

for all the guys at Gintani!
