Congrats, looks awesome. Agreed, the color doesn't do justice in pics. Was in my dealer last weekend and they had one on the showroom floor...definitely awesome.

We'll see in the long run but in the meantime, I'll keep it waxed, keep a spray bottle in the trunk with some towels and wipe it off if a bird gets it, whatever. The fact that it's a matte clearcoat of a metallic paint versus a flat paint makes it more satin-like than matte and I think will then hide some issues if ey arise better. We'll see!

Per my dealer the story is/was
BMW offered one to the first 40 dealers who agreed to become M Certified. Only catch...cost was like $18k to become Certified.

So the first 40 dealers willing to pony up $18K got one.

I love the car! I worked at a dealer for a while in internet sales, just left a month ago... It looks like they made some changes, as they always do, to keep us all wanted the newer one... LOL. The stitching, e brake, steering wheel, and new trim option are all nice touches. Can we order that e brake? Anybody know?

So BMW of San Francisco has a Frozen Silver for sale too? I wouldn't mind checking out the color in person!

Congratulations!
I also pulled the trigger on this one when taking my 2010 M3 for 16K service. The matching paint, wheels and interior are hard to ignore. I had traded my silver GTR for a white, carbon roof M3 coupe and always missed the interior on the GTR. On this M3 BMW did a great job with the stitching and carbon fiber interior and the paint and wheels bring that performance look back to the car. I am very happy with the competition suspension as well. The review from Top Gear does not do justice. The car feels much more balanced and planted and makes a significant difference even on my daily driver setting of EDC normal and Power sport. Not at all intrusive nor uncomfortable.

Congrats on the Frozen Silver M3! I saw this car at Bellevue BMW the week it arrived and loved both the interior and the contrast of the black roof and wheels against the frozen silver paint. Sweet ride..

How has maintenance of the paint been?

I like the car more and more every time I drive it. And it's hard to walk away from it without turning around for another glance. I've tinted the windows and replaced the mirror covers with OEM CF ones and will upload new pics soon. Darkened windows really add to it even more.

Thanks! The paint shows dirt way less than any other car I've had before. Just had it waxed and have rinsed it once or twice but will probably hand wash it or get it hand washed later this week. I don't think the paint is as big a deal as everyone makes it out to be. Matte black might be a different story but not this color.

I absolutley love this car. My previous vehicle was a 2008 Audi RS4 and I loved it, but...you couldn't break that sucker loose, so when I finally drove the M3 and turned the traction control OFF, I was sold. I did my research and was looking for a slightly used White Coupe but the red leather kept rearing it's head and then, I found it. I picked it up from BMW Murrieta (Boris Said's dealership) and he drove an hour to come do the meet and greet with me. He is one cool dude. Anyway, tinted the windows and bought a radar detector so far and the exhaust is next.
Question for you Frozen owners though. I thought BMW would have documented this vehicle a little better and I can't tell if the stereo system is the premium or not (it sounds great) and it didn't come with Sat radio either. Can I have the Sat radio installed as a factory component? Did any of your Frozens have any special numbering or documentation?
Here are a few pics.

Thanks

Congrats on the new car! Looks great! Love the tint, I added some CF mirrors to mine and uploaded some pics on another thread.

As for documentation, for the Competition Edition there's just that $9.5k line item on the window sticker that says it's what it is and they are not numbered to my knowledge.

BMW did issue a press release back in November that details what makes this version unique and all the different parts. I don't believe it has the upgraded audio, if it did it would be on the window sticker.

Hey PNWM3,
I just installed the Akra Evo w/CF tips and an ESS tune. Made a huge difference in my driving experience. Did you get an exhaust system yet? How's the car trreating you otherwise? Also, I purchsed some matte detailer spray from a Company called Chemical Brothers, it works great with a microfiber cloth.

Cheers
