Actualy you need to get it...before you believe it,in one word....WOW !
Car runs stronger than ever before, and the DCT in S 4-5-6 when you shift at 4-5-6000 rpm you get this pusch feeling, actualy the shifts pusches the car forward now,it's unbelievable this speed and force of shifting !!!(kicks your butt !!! )
Would i do it again ???
In a heartbeat man !
Is it worth ???
Every single $ !
Conclusion.....
A stock ///M3 is becoming boring ,and i go never back to stock.... never man !!
BTW...car consumes less now - 1.8 liter/100 km !!!
This all is the BPM tune and DCT coding of THE MAN..... called....MIKE-BENVO
Hope that this will help !
BTW....next week it's my turn...a SPECIAL... review of my BPM tune
Oh, I'm definitely getting the tune, waiting on the group buy for this month. Just not sure if the DCT software was worth an extra $500.

About the DCT software.....the problem is...you don't know the feeling of it !
And the day that you feel it....i'm 100% sure you want to keep it
Oh almost forget this..... the second gear lag...it's gone now,and forever

This is the way the DCT should have come from the factory! I can't believe how much difference this tuning makes. Almost makes me want to get a DCT...almost.

Just got my DCT tune! Wow! When I shift the car pushes forward, eliminating any lag. Quicker yet more subtle shifting. No more lunging while coming to a stop. I feel like it's an F1 gearbox!! Chirps 3rd all day.!! I would say definitely improves .1-.2 sec off 1/4 mile times at least! The stage1 and DCT tune has really transformed the car into a complete animal. Mike Benvo seriously is a genius when it comes to these cars. He knows what he is doing. Overall experience A+++++

So I just got one of the last 2013 DCTs and I was wondering if the stock software on my version is sufficient or if it can be that much better. Do rapid hard downshifts using this software wear down the tranny more? No matter how hard you drive, the interval between upshifts can only be as fast as your engine getting to redline in the current gear whereas downshifts can potentially be done many at a time within a couple seconds with proper software...

I guess the question is, is this upgrade worth it to a guy who drives in city traffic daily? I use S5 and MDM exclusively once the car is warm enough.

I would say that the upgrade is completely worth it!! FYI, even though the car is a 2013, doesn't mean it has the newest OEM software.

Well, it's a March 2013 build....I figure it got to the dealer by April or June. Couldn't be that old but I see your point.

How much is the software tune? Either I'm slow this morning or I could not find a price on Benvo's site.

Unfortunately, the build date doesn't point to what version it might have. The software that comes on the car is not necessarily the newest even though the car is brand new. Likely you are one update behind what's current assuming the car isn't current already.

Our DCT tune is $899 plus shipping.
