Carbon Fiber Mirror Caps

Hey all,

Which brand are you guys recommending now for carbon fiber mirror caps since the OEM's are discontinued? I thought Monaco Motorsports was my best bet for the 2x2 but looking further seems like they're just ebay special also. Most of what I can find now are all 1x1.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Edit: Is Karbonius the way to go? I saw a post there was a GB going on but can't find any other info.

Just got a set of these and I'm very pleased. Not easy to get all the clips to fasten, but the 1x1 weave matched the roof which was one of my requirements.

Here's my 2x2 Karbonius covers. Perfect fiber alignment and fit. The tabs are a little tricky to line up but if you take the mirror off its easier to see the tabs when installing.

Happenstance you purchased the wrong weave cf to match your roof..? I could possibly help remedy the situation

These would match my other BMW Perf cf perfectly so I'm kinda forced to get them it looks like, even though 1x1 is growing on me more and more and probably stand out better on black

I wish now BMW made all their cf in 1x1. The 2x2 on black just blends in too much for me, I may say screw with keeping the same weave pattern all around on the ext. and get 1x1, may stand out much better. I've got the matte black housings from a fellow forum member a few years back.

(Completely de-M badged the entire vehicle case y'all were wondering)

The only other 1x1 I have right now is this, I know it's not ///M but just if you guys wanted to see some GruppeM carbon. I'd have gone Eventuri all day if they made anything for us.

I think karbonius are the best new option now. It would be nice if RKP iND could start to make these now that OEM is discontinued.

Does anyone know how carbon fiber mirror caps were ordered when the car was first purchased? My 2011 E93 M3 has them, but I don't see them on the window sticker or on a VIN decode. RealOEM.com shows them as an accessory under:

3' E93 LCI M3 M Performance exterior mirror flaps
Select another car > Retrofitting / conversion / accessories > M Performance Parts

Just curious because I thought all M3's had them, but I see the identical M3 vert to mine on BaT without carbon fiber caps https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2012-bmw-m3-49/

Mine were ordered when the car was ordered and Port installed before the car was delivered to the dealer. NOT standard even on a LRP.

I have the carbon M Performance rear spoiler on my E90 and want to match the side mirrors. Should I go 1x1 or 2x2 weave? I don't know the difference….
