Road America - MVP Track Time July 2015

Below are a couple videos from my time at Road America this past July! Had some brake issues last year at this track, upgraded to some 380mm Brembo's all around with Castrol SRF brake fluid. The pads however were the stock Brembo pads, I was getting some fade a couple laps into the session. Also I cannot stress enough the importance of bleeding your brakes...had a soft pedal that took some confidence away from me on Saturday. I was having to give the brakes a few 'pre-taps' going into the heavy brake zones. I bled the brakes Saturday evening with another bottle of SRF, no issues after that.

Other than the brakes still not using the car near its full potential, kept the car in MDM mode. Plenty of speed left on the track, best time for me was a 2:47. You can see onutsguy go past me at 18:20 on the first video.

Yeah, that track is brutal on brakes. Earlier in the year with The Midwest F-body group, I did a 2:46 at road america, which is the fastest I've gone:

I can't find your 2:47 lap. Fastest I saw was a 2:50. Anyways, i'm done with road america for quite a while. This year, I did the NCM in kentucky, road america, mid ohio, and I'll finish the year at Pittsburgh race complex's newly expanded track. Next year, I'll be at the autobahn country club, gingerman, and hopefully Mid-America Motorplex, now RPI.
