Help!! Skid plate for lip

Hello guys!

I just received my new RKP composites GT Carbon fiber lip from IND. I love the aggressive look of this lip, perfect for the car!

I did run into an issue. I live in Colorado and the streets, sidewalks, dips, bumps, etc. are not the best here. The lip sits 3 inches off the ground. My lip would get scraped just coming out of my driveway

That's when I decided I'd make a skid plate for it just like the GT4 lip guys do. For those of you that have made a skid plate, what thickness/gauge aluminum did you use? Did you just double-sided tape it on? Or rivet it on?

If appreciate all the help guys!

Cheers,
Orlando

I think I used 24 gauge and riveted on, not a bit of damage from all the scraping I've done
