To clarify, I had a 2008 E90 64,500 miles with all records AND new brake and fluids. Mine was sold for $26,750

That car is a stripper though and mine was loaded. Hard to say a stripper is worth more. Buyers still have different needs. I'd say he got a good deal based purely on mileage.

I think it was well bought. These cars are all 100k+ mile cars now, the e90 is very hard to get in low miles. I would probably burn mine before I sold it for that though lol

He did really well in what? If price, he paid top dollar for 2008 model but I am not surprised specially with this color combo
What you smokin bruh?
That's a great deal on this car.
Not top dollar at all.
It was only driven 5k miles/year.
Good deal for any E90 with 52k miles!

These cars are all "old" at this point for high-performance cars, hardly makes a difference when you're talking about 1-3 yrs of difference.

I think I got a fairly good deal. I wanted a low mileage with a stick and enhanced audio. I live in florida, don't need cold weather package. Would have liked to have had comfort access, but low mileage and dealer maintained (although no records) was more important to me. Car is in mint condition, inside and out. Additionally, comparable mileage vehicles (50-60k mi) on autotrader are listed from 30-40k. what u want to pay and what the cars are really going on market might not align. I think I did pretty good, but to each his own.

Not trying to beat a dead horse and you make a great point. We all want to pay as little when buying and sell for as high as we can. This just listed. It's a different car but overall meaning mileage E90, manual, condition it's similar. I definitely do not want to start rating his for sale price and hi jacking his sale. Just adding it here for informational purposes only.

Post examples of better deals so we can all learn from what you clearly know more about.

If you can't it means you haven't been keeping up with this thread, and now you're making weak statements regarding what I would buy without realizing I posted in this thread about my purchase.

I've been watching this thread for almost 2 years now. Scroll back and look at the trend on E90s to see where we're at.

I posted my deal here 09/02/2016. It states that you're dead wrong about me and what I would buy or not by. I paid $28k for my 08 E90 DCT mine with 78k miles on it. I've put 20k miles on it since.

So, I would have done this current deal without thinking twice.

Will wait for you to post better deals though...
(Please don't bother replying and further spamming this thread otherwise.)

I am not trying to start a debate on M3 prices. We all know well buyer pays what he see it is worth to him. But my point is 2008 model is the one with lowest price due to a lot of factors. Please have a look at FS thread and count how many 2008 model are for sale and STILL are for sale. I even contacted previous members who sold their cars and most of them told me they ended up selling to CarMax OR trade it in as they couldn't sell it privately.

At this point I think value is really subjective on lower mileage cars and prices will be all over the place. Finding the car that you want is getting much harder. Finding one locally, colors, condition, options that you want is really a challenge so some will pay a premium to be able to scoop up their car. For any car with <60k miles, we are at the bottom of the market right now and all the "deals" are quickly vanishing unless you live where the market is more saturated.

It's the least desirable interior color hence the lower selling price.

To each his own- I personally like the Silver the most! In Extended version it's gorgeous. Especially with Jerez. I'll post pics soon.

Purchased my car as used Certified in Germany. It is a North American Spec car. I watched the price come down from $54K to $51K and jumped on the deal. I drive this car everyday and LOVE IT!!!!

I know my situation is different but here in Germany prices seem to reflect a higher price point than back in the US.
