Track Night in America Schedule Released, Which Events Are You Planning on Attending?

I will probably be hitting up NJMP early in the season April or May.

I'm definitely doing pitt international and poconos. They're both 2.5 hours from me. NJMP is a five hour drive for me so it not really worth it. TNiA is blast though especially when you and a few of your track buddies ditch work and meet up and go rip it up all evening

I'll likely hit Charlotte, Dominion and Pocono. I also have VIR and Summit Point on the short list for this season with TrackDaze.

I'm waiting to hear which NJMP course is which day. Concerned the event might be a giant mess as far as track etiquette and general recklessness. I'm only attending to shake off the cobwebs for WGI in July, otherwise I'd be doing a weekend with PCA

I think they only use one - Thunderbolt.

Good, they're going to GingerMan this year.

No fucking way am I doing Blackhawk Farms. That track is a recipe for disaster.

It's a track literally built on top of a farm with no consideration for safety or proper design. Inadequate run-off, barriers everywhere, trees everywhere, etc. Just search YouTube for "blackhawk farms crash" to see what I mean.

The track is notorious for people sliding into the bushes or striking the barriers. I don't understand the desire to drive there, and it seems like a lot of guys go there one time and then never return.

Here are two videos that at least show the track and how sketchy some of the areas are:

Blackhawk farms is a great, great racetrack for racing racecars on, especially sub-1500lb ones. It's fun, it's technical, it rewards good driving and allows you to go side-by-side a whole lap if you're dumb enough. It's not a place I would want to track a street car. If you get it wrong enough (two wheels off overcorrection for instance) you're probably going to make contact with something. The solution to this, just like tracking at any of the many rovals or whatever, is not getting it wrong that badly. But unlike most rovals It's a short bullring of a course and not really well-suited to cars with modern street cars with modern power/weight ratios because it has two pretty decent slow-to-fast straights that still allow something with good power to crest 130mph and heavy cars slide a loooooong way when they f up.

been in the swamp at the end of the back straight before. It's usually not deep enough to swallow a whole car. I saw a fish.
