There also seems to be enough of shield to protect the steering tie rod end from direct heat. All in all I'd say they look like good value for money.
I used 2" electrical wire heat shielding and slid it over the bearing and held it in with zip ties.

Turner at SPL mentioned that tension and lower arm bearings will likely need to be replaced every season depending on driving style. They're cheap and worth ordering replacements before they wear just due to supply chain issues. Mine started showing signs of wear with noticeable play after about 25 events, car drove noticeably better after replacement.

Looking at this last couple posts it seems like I can get away with APEX 18x11 et 25 VS-5RS on 295/30 square. Might give that a try.

Some posts on these threads where others have ran 18x11 up front. Thinking of going this route as well (square) with a 295 30.

I test fit some 285/35/18 on a 18x10.5 + 22 (my current rear setup) to see if they would clear in the front on my Ohlins R&T (given the reduced spring clearance vs. others). Some interesting results relative to the other discussions on clearance here. Ideally looking to run either a 285/30/18 or 295/30/18 on the front. 285 should be no problem, I think 295 might require a small spacer.

Also got some funny looks while driving around with the most staggered setups.

18x11 ET37 would be my preferred spec, but you'd need to run the ET44 with a 7mm spacer.

18x11 ET25 is "doable" if you are not afraid of taking risk.. with your suspension and body panel(s) (some trimming, some flattening/pulling)

18x11 ET18 is the MOST aggressive you can go squared... but this will require some "minor/major" fender work, but doesn't involve a wide body/flare kit.

for reference..

i run 18x10.5 ET15 with a 275/35/18 F/R and 285/35/18 F/R

the solution is to not run Michelins, stick to a R comp / square side walls for better fitment.

Why would that be a solution for someone looking for more grip?

because they asked specifically for clearance. lol

which rounded Michelins do not help at all to achieve, maximum wheel spec + size.

appreciate the clarification. So you're saying the bulge in the sidewall reduces clearance relative to a more square 275/35. I'm not at the slick level yet but will keep in mind as I look at other tire options.

correct, you'll get more clearance with a sidewall that's more squared off, vs the more rounded Michelin.

this is 18x11 ET18 w/ 295/30

granted this one has a lot of fender work for ET18, but at ET37 you could run it fairly easily with proper suspension / alignment.

My flosman trunk uses oem mounts. It’s kinda shitty and I don’t recommend flossman.

Follow up with a 18x10.5 +25 and 285/30/18 (bridgestone RE71RS) to show the difference in clearance. Tough for me to tell how much more clearance is created because the angle of the pics is slightly different and also losing 3mm from the wheel offsets being slightly different, but I see what the group was saying on the rounded Michelin tire. Also seems plenty of clearance to the strut which is good.

hey FYI, the gold coating on these nuts will come completely off within three wheel mounting cycles if you use an impact for both on and off.

the non marring wheel nut sockets will also eat the coating as theres a bunch of friction when trying to remove the socket from these nuts when knew.

I tossed new ones on 2 weeks ago just for looks as the ones installed last year are now gray, and decided to use a breaker bar and low speed impact for removal/install versus just breaking them off with an impact at full speed... and the coating still looks like it'll come completely off fairly quickly.

I could be wrong, but what I think omgzirra_exe is trying to say is: If you want to maximize clearance then don not run Michelin street tires which have a rim protector hump.

Michelin racing slicks - and the latest PSCups - don't typically have rim protectors - as far as I recall, but the street Michelins you're running do - such as PS4S and PSS. So tires without a rim protector help achieve more clearance. See the images below for more clarity.
