I am on the Medea, I just got the confirmation. The departure date was 4/16 with an estimated arrival date of 4/30. My CA sent me the detailed list from the system.

My CA told me my car was on the 'Wallenius Wilhelmsen' apparently not understanding that's the name of the shipping company...
but... did confirm it left on 4/16 so it must be the Medea as well. Here's a link to her schedule: http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppSche...esselSearch.do |

Based on when we all finished production I should be on the Medea as well but all I hear is that I am still waiting on a carrier. I am starting to worry ... I wonder what the chance of the status information just being way out of date? I wouldn't be as concerned but when I talk to one of the reps it seems like their system is just as screwed up because they act like it is still in production. Just my luck!

Try calling your CA, if you haven't already. Apparently once the car is loaded onto a ship, the tracking info responsibility is handed off to your dealer.

Well when companies say they have a 99% success rate I have to be the 1%. My car seems to have gotten lost for about 11 days. I have called BMW, my CA, and now the PC and no one really knows where it is. BMW said the last they saw was that after production it went to a quality check. Something could have been found out of spec and it had to go back through a portion of manufacturing. I really don't know and they don't seem to know either. All I do know is that it appears as if it hasn't gotten on a boat yet and now I don't think it will arrive in time for my 5/20 PC deliver.
Does anyone know if there are other ships coming to the east coast other than the ones listed on Wallenius Wilhelmsen website? That is my only hope at this point. Also have any of you checked your VIN on the Wallenius Wilhelmsen tracking system to see if your car shows up in their system?

Check out the thread that is parked at the top of this sub forum on order tracking. There is a link to WW's website. From there you click on track in the lower right hand corner of the page and then you will have a screen to enter your VIN or partial VIN with %. The VIN should go into the cargo id field.

You can type the VIN as the Cargo ID. Mine wasn't there, and it appears most aren't. But if you start with "WBS%" (% is a wildcard character per the instructions), you can see the BMW Motorsport vehicles that have been loaded recently. You can narrow that down to M3s by adding the next 4 VIN characters.
For Ben335, I've been tracking the Medea on vesseltracker.com using the info in the sticky; use the callsign 9VHL or IMO#: 8016550 to see where the ship was last located. Looks like it has pulled out of Zeebrugge and into the channel... due in Southampton at 1AM tomorrow. Learning geography has never been so interesting! |

10-12 weeks is probably the average.

That has to be frustrating. Still, think of it this way...
Either it's already on a boat and you'll be pleasantly surprised when it shows up earlier than you expected, or they're making the car better for you now so that it doesn't have a problem when it finally does show up. And when it does finally show up... you're close enough to the Performance Center to easily enjoy that option! I'm still trying to figure out how to drag my wife on a sidetrip there when we go to Crosby, TN in July for vacation. |

Anyone's car on the Rhea Leader to the west coast? I heard mine was on there and found a cool link which lets me track it...at least when its close to land. Check it out...can click on the coordinates. Last update was 4 days ago. Scheduled to reach Port Hueneme on May 8th (San Diego on the 6th).

My car finally made it to the port. I still don't know why it was delayed. Maybe because I am doing PC delivery and it wasn't scheduled until 5/20 they held my car back to make room for all of you. Just thank me later.

Production complete on my E90 and status changed to ''being transported to a port of exit" . I'm assuming it's still 6 weeks away but it's good to see progress.

The Medea has docked and my car was been unloaded and checked in. my dealer has confirmed it with a tentative delivery date of 5/8, but my CA says it can miss by up to 2 weeks. Where there other people on the Medea as well?
