I wish I could get Assurant as their prices you've posted seem very reasonable. My CU is offering 3yr/36k mile $500 deductible for $4185. My E90 is 2011 with 60k on it. I emailed the BMW guy and got no response. Would like to get one soon for piece of mind

Be aware that for some/probably most after market warranties, your total in claims is capped by the value of your car which of course diminishes yearly.

But my dealership issued this as a really good warranty choice, and I will have all my work done at my local "BMW center of excellence"

Really appreciate this thread, a lot of useful information. Could use some advice/guidance.
Long story short- 3 days ago I purchased a 2012 E92M ZCP, 59xxx miles. Purchased a 4yr-50k addtl miles and negotiated for $2500. I get a call today from the Honda dealership that the company they go through no longer covers M cars. So they are offering to reimburse the money or send a check to my lienholder to reduce payoff. Both of these options seem unacceptable to me seeing as how it's their fault for selling me a fake/void warranty. I'm under the impression they should honor the contract and either find a company that will cover the car for similar coverage/terms OR refund me enough money to purchase privately similar coverage/terms. Anyone have any thoughts or help here? I have 0 clue how much 'legal' authority I have here considering I purchased the car under the impression it had a warranty. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Chris |

Does anyone know if USAA's extended warranty covers rod bearing failures? It covers various engine assembly components but I don't see rod bearings included in the list.

Yeah I'm prepared to accept my refund and just forgo the warranty all together due to the excessive costs via 3rd party. A friend of mine is a lawyer and took a look at the paperwork etc. They're going to put a call into the dealership to see if it sways them one way or the other but it's certainly not worth going to court over.

I've got one of the four coverage plans(Primarycare) through Easycare, and I am familiar with them. Got mine through the BMW dealership, that I bought the car from.
