Thanks for the link. Great pics and review. I can't wait to get mine.

With that said, Gustav will tell you and show you videos of a M car beating anything you want, just ask. Sorry, but I really lost respect for his biased reviews of anything M.

For someone, supposedly, so experienced to render a "seat of the pants" acceleration feel and claim that it will definately outrun the 911S, or any close competitor, is simply unprofessional.

I remember when I first road tested the 997S while owning my E46. The M "felt" faster to me. But, knowing that linear powerbands and many other variables can make you feel as though one car is faster than another, I held my judgement until later. When later came I realized that the 997S was actually much faster.

Since Gustav has been around very fast cars for so long, I would normally expect a much more unbiased review, but, knowing that Gustav is behind the review it's not surprising that it's just another pro-BMW rave at all costs.

I still love the M and I hope it's everything he says it is, but some professionalism would be nice.

(I think I remember actually seing a Gustav created vid where a slightly modded M5 walked the 997tt; what a joke that was.)

Devo, every thread you take a shot and hi-jack with your own "unprofessional" interpretation.
Your first line was sufficient.

Vids coming soon

See this thread....

http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/sho...d.php?t=104811

Gustav is going to shoot some vids of the M3 vs. RS4 and has made some predictions....

Lots of skeptics about Gustav's vids but they come from whiny conspiracy theorist....

"Gustav fixes the races against AMG...." I am sure we are going to see "Gustav fixes races against Audi" as soon as we see the M3 pwn the RS4

He doesnt get paid to do these writeups. He does them as an enthusiast. So hes allowed to be pro-BMW and these are his opinions. Just like we all have opinions. Instead of calling him unprofessional, maybe you should be thanking him for posting something nice for the community that he didnt have to do

No point in trying to convince those who have cemented their opinion mate.....

Those Gustav vids made me get the M6 instead of the GT3....

For those that don't know Gustav...he is a good guy, one of us (i.e. car nut)

@devo - Why in the heck call the guy unprofessional? That is simply not applicable. Just like lvwireless guy and T Bone said, he is just another car guy/enthusiast...and sure he likes BMWs he is allowed to after all.

@all the others - Good and appropriate comments in defense of Gustav! I enjoy his vids and m5board as well.

I was there that day. I also got a ride in that 997 Turbo and I was a passenger in the Turbo in one of those races. Its not fake, its not rigged. What you see in those movies is what happen.
If it was a bad driver or a bad launch, I dont know but those videos arent fake. What you see is what happen.
I have witness it with my own eyes and unlike many others I was there.

Its really upseting to hear people dissing those events just because the outcome isnt what someone expected. Pretty childish and unprofessional if you ask me.

You're right.. because with two average drivers, the RS4 will easily beat the M3 due to an easier launch.. That doesn't make it faster..

Nor does a better 0.1 sec 0-60 time or 0.25 1/4 mi "pwn" any car. Its called only slightly faster. Sigh. I hate such inflammatory statements where minimal acceleration differences translate into 'pwning' (hint: its spelled with an 'o')

Nice link, thanks.
Those guys at M5board have been at it for some time and I quite like their style.

Wanna make a wager that the RS4 gets PWN'ed by the M3? At least 2 car lengths by the end of the run....I am guessing 2-4.

Insteading of correcting me on the spelling of "Pwn'ed" (which is accurate BTW), put up a wager.....

We both like bets. Did you notice my "copy" of your payments terms in my bet with JEllis on price? You probably didn't since we were both waaaay OT... Anyway this boldness makes me think you saw the videos. Along with your previous comments on them. Is that really a fair bet? Cheers.
