I would be extremely interested in this. it seems as though they haven't gotten into R&D stage yet though

Great idea but I built my own for less than $50, so hard to justify the extra $300

i'm sure the time you spent making it values way over $300.

No doubt that time is worth money. But I am cheap

I would like to see this completed for real. Would have to modify to fit my car I am sure.

I sent them an email, this is what they replied back:

Hi, we had this product available for pre-orders, but we were not able to meet the minimum to bring in a local car for R&D, so the process was cancelled, and the product was never developed. Due to our busy schedule, we won't be making "one-off" products for the time being.

If that should ever change, then we will send out a "Product Release" email or make a post on Instagram, so be sure to follow us on @streetfaction! Thank you and we wish you the best of luck on your build.

the phone number area code is local to me and the rear seat is already out of my e92. i'd be happy to help out if they are interested. seems like a significant missed opportunity given how many e92's show up to local track days around here.

I'd be interested in one as well, (just in case.... )

Are there any other options available for our cars outside of making something yourself?

That’s too much money for a cover panel, you can make this out of sheet metal and wrap it in Alcantara or really whatever you want and call it a day.

I'd buy one if it was available. SF is a legit place. Seen their products on friends cars with great craftsmanship.

Actually, considering it's CF it's not a bad price. IND's is $7,995 !

They do make one for e92 at least. I reached out to them on IG a few months ago after I saw an e92 with it.

I'd love to have this. Does anyone other than iND make one?

Those CF rear seat covers are way too expensive.

guys, you are looking for this stuff only for styling, but i'd prefer to use its another prons.

i'm thinking to make this wall for my e46 m3, from carbon fiber (yep, it's all around weight) and fit it with structural glue, like using for oem carbon roofs for example.
it will add torsional rigidity a LOT.

some figures, to understand what i'm talking about.

torsional rigidity:
BMW E46 Sedan (w/o folding seats) - 18,000 Nm/deg
BMW E46 Sedan (w/folding seats) - 13,000 Nm/deg
BMW E46 Wagon (w/folding seats) - 14,000 Nm/deg
BMW E46 Coupe (w/folding seats) - 12,500 Nm/deg

what you need to see there - is the difference, between sedans, with folding seats (and the hole to the trunk), and without folding seats, where closed wall used from factory.
closed wall adds a LOT torsional rigidity.

so, next figures to answer for another questions
E46 M3: 18,500 nm/°
E46 M3 CSL: 18.750 nm/°

difference between this two cars - steel welded roof vs glued carbon roof.

so, we can see, that carbon sheet with structural glue work not worse than welded steel, but even better (yep, only little, but i'll be glad even if it will work on the same level, cause in this way i'll get lighter upgrade without loosing in stiffness).

i've planned to make this wall for my car in nearest time, but if i'll see any real interest, we can make this also for e92 chassis.
