So I have a question...am I the only BMW owner in all of TX with a front license plate? I didn't always have one, but after getting pulled over 3 times for no front plate (and no other reason than that) I had no choice.

I do live in Williamson County and they are known for being a tad more strict than the rest of the state, thats probably it...

you might be....haha! i think most of us chose to leave the front plate off come hell or high water just because we don't want holes in our bumpers. i know if i get a ticket for it, it's just the cost of doing business.

You will get a ticket for the nastiest sounding exhaust before no front plate

The person with the 135i matte black rims...How did you go about doing your rims? I'm from Austin and I'm looking to do that to my rims, on my E92. Next time there's a meet I'll try to go.

Wow, I've been in court the last couple of days and I finally got a chance to check out some of the pictures and video. James, Brad, Steve, and Blake, thanks for the excellent photos. Robert, thanks for the HD video (I just need to find a way to get it onto my TV now).

Also, I wasn't really considering an exhaust before, but I just may have to now. That Remus sounds really, really good. James, do you get any drone at any point in your rev band with the Remus Race?

Sorry to hear about that, mate. I was impressed at how well your E39 was able to keep up in the hilly twisties. It sounds like your hand has been forced. Okay, maybe not, but it's a lot harder to stress about the economy when you're carving up roads like that.

Williamson County is pretty bad. I got three tickets in Harris County for no front plate on my E46, but still refused to put it on. You can always pay the tickets, but you can't undo the holes in your bumper.

I enjoyed the drive and mostly all the pics and video my wife did as for the Remus Race exhaust having drone.....

Yes you will get some drone at 80mph just drop it down to 5th and you are good. or just go faster or slow down its up to you its really not that bad, other than that the car sounds good and it looks good get the Remus Race and you won't be sorry trust me

Good to hear.

Btw, did anyone else notice that my car attracted more than its fair share of bugs? Wow, it's filthy in those pics.

Dang... that looked like a blast guys, sorry I missed it. I was in SC picking up my M3, so at least I'll be ready for the next one. Go in for 1st service tomorrow. Went a large tad over 1200 miles however... but I was gentle.

I know the feeling, I was 1400 miles when I drove from the port in Brunswick, GA straight to Austin BMW for a service I took it easy

Well @TLud, it was worth it just to follow Shady and hear that bloody awesome exhaust I nearly brought the V8 on this drive but wife did not want me maxing out her baby Still, got to love the classic in-line 6: one of the world's great engines over the years. Glad I have owned one.

I reckon an exhaust is THE mod I would want on the E92 after hearing some of those 'blat, blat', raspy tones - makes the hairs on the neck stand up

The great thing about drives like the one we shared is it completely banishes any thoughts about the phucked-up economy: that's got to be worth a lot, eh?
