Which e90 should I buy?

Two options, both 2011, both black, both four door M3, both located locally in SoCal

First one: For sale by a friend. Well maintained .83k miles. Rod bearings and throttle actuator has been done. ESS tune, kw V3 coilovers, big brake kit, aftermarket wheels, and very nice, upgraded interior(Alcantara touches all around) Asking 30k, 28k with stock brakes.

Second one: For sale by a forum member, 43k miles with competition package. Stock everything.
Asking 32k

Which one would you get?

The second one has more resale value as it's stock and half the miles. However if you plan to track the car the first one certainly seems to have a great setup.

I say if you plan to do similar mods to 1 eventually anyways then go with 1. It will be much cheaper that way. First car has $10k+ into it. It's nice to not have to worry about doing the bearings like car 2.

I personally would go with 2. Low miles, enjoy the stock for and begin to transform it yourself or leave it alone. More enjoyable to see the changes in the car as you mod then to buy one done and just drive it.

Do you want those mods on #1? If so there is value there to you as they are expensive. If not then that car is way overpriced. Car #2 is underpriced unless there are no other options or there is something wrong with it.

40k miles is a lifetime in M3 miles, several lifetimes when RBs aren't swapped!
