Stripped with full cage?
Bolt in? Cages or bars with cross or lateral braces make it impossible to fit. Maybe if the car is stripped? The ae performance style cage won't allow them to fit.harness bars won't let them stand up. |

Hitch Installed
Hey Guys,
Few quick updates on the install. I gave the guys at Execuhitch/Invishitch (OEM hitches for BMW in South Africa) a call and they said they had a solution for the M3. Being that they are local to me in Atlanta i gave it a shot. And I have to say they are a top notch place and the install tech was great. They actually use the hitch they designed for the X1 (http://execuhitch.com/tow-hitches/bm...ler-hitch.html) and it matched up perfectly with the M3. The only downside is that you have to cut you bumper to gain access to the hitch, but it is a clean install and you can barley tell it is there (dont have pictures, forgot to get installed pics was running late and car is back at the track ) but will get some pics soon, promise. The cut in the bumper looks bigger in the pic but is before the bumper starts to curve so unless you under the car you can not see it. If you all want more info on the kit please call and talk to steve and let Adam know you saw this post, (800) 27-HITCH(44824) or direct (678) 400-0121. Thanks guys please ask me any questions you have. Now on to building the track trailer!! Adam (warp10)

Warp10 -- that is very similar to my tire trailer except the steel pipe is also threaded on the top and I use spacers to keep the wheels from popping up and down at highway speed over bumps. Obviously a wheel is not going to come off but have you had any issues with the two wheels hitting on each other?

the tires are strapped/locked to the floor of the trailer. and do you mean the two stacks touching or the tires on top of each other? the tires stack do not touch and the tires are in contact with each other but not the wheels.

I agree with you that. I'm going to consider whether I want to put a hitch in or not since the guy who agreed to buy my autocross trailer seems to have dropped off the face of the earth.

Nice setup Adam. So it replaces the c/f crash absorbed bar?
