Dinan Camber Plates

Has anyone installed the Dinan camber plates on an E9x M3? I'm considering it and was wondering how much negative camber you were able to get on the front.

Also, does anyone know of any other camber plate options out there that'll work with the EDC?

My autocross class is heating up and I need better turn-in. Also, the M3 could use more tire at the rear, since I could spin the tires at will anywhere on the AX course.

Yes, the car rotates more freely. You don't need to fight it as much turning in. And I have EDC. I am seeing even temps and even wear on the track across both front tires, so I don't know that the car needs more than this.

Thanks Lucid.

Sparkyg, I found the thread and the guy didn't have the Stage I spring kit that the plate is designed for. I DO have the spring kit, but that is still a good heads up for anyone considering a camber plate w/o stiffer and lower springs.

Good catch, didn't know that. What about the front swaybar, isn't that Stg II and the Camber Plates Stg III?

Just asking.

No, there's now three sets of springs. You can add the camber plates and sway bar to Stage I, per their descriptions; however, I'd advise calling Dinan if you want to add anything to Stage II or III. Also, you miight want to call before using the sway bar on a stock suspension.

I got -1.7° with the plates and springs and the pins in place. Best part is no added NVH.

After rereading the descriptions at Dinan, I think that the springs may well be the same in Stage I, II and III and the differences being that II includes the sway bar and III includes the sway bar AND camber plates. The sway bar size is the same in all cases.

So that brings up another question. Has anyone used the sway bar?
