So I need some help. For some strange reason, I can't get the MDYNAMIC_MODE_USA change to take. NCSExpert claims that it worked, but when I go back to read it again, it's still set to activ. Here's my MAN file:
RPA nicht_aktiv M3_BAUART wert_03 M3_GETRIEBE wert_00 M3_UEBERSTEUERN_MUE_0 wert_03 M3_UEBERSTEUERN_MUE_1_2 wert_03 MDYNAMIC_MODE_USA nicht_aktiv M3_PRE_MSR nicht_aktiv LENKWINKELKENNLINIE wert_02 wert_03 LAT_EBD nicht_aktiv US_VEHICLE nicht_aktiv POHO nicht_aktiv DDS_PLUS nicht_aktiv I can read all the modules fine. I'm using the one-stop cable, so that should be good. I'm using a VM image called "*********V3" that I grabbed from e90post. All indications point to the coding working, but alas the settings don't take. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Any experienced coder can do it quickly. It's definitely a pretty big difference, well worth it!

I find it made a VERY big difference with the adjusted coefficients. It?s surprisingly fun even with MDM now, whereas before it would cut everything off at the slightest hint of wheelspin...

Are these DSC module settings independent of transmission type, i.e. DCT versus manual? I ask because of the "!" or "not" operand associated with "wert_02" implying "not" MAN or not manual or am I reading that wrong?

no each of these "wert" values carry a certain value to the ecu in question which is the dscmk60. the dsc unit itself processes information from the entire car, torque, engine revs, throttle position, these values ultimately just control what the dsc is doing and what its outputting to the wheels and engine to keep you from crashing the car.

I'm surprised nothing more came out of this thread. Anyone know if it was confirmed that you can adjust these wert sertings to tailor your "slip" so to speak?
I've only read that u.s. is 4 or 5% (no mention of variance from coupe to sedan or 6mt to dsc) and euro, 7%. And if we can adjust parameters, why bother even "nicht"ing u.s. mode. Just leave that and modify the other #s to taste? Or if that does really make sense, at the very least, is the move to allow some more slip to code for euromdm.still? Or is there anything else new or more advanced to do/know? Thanks

I just did the one change to turn off USA for euro MDM. Just so it doesn't intervene with my "normal" type of driving.
If I want to get more sideways, I'll just turn dsc off I think. I think modifing these values will give a false sense of security, if these changes could really let you sustain any sort of drift or spin.

If any of the pre 2016 post crowd are around, for such an old but interesting thread, would it be fair to say if you don't own a US E9X, than the rest are Euro. I imagine living in Australia there are no Oceanic models, rather just imports from Europe. Would that be a fair reconning for a new to BMW enthusiast.
