NCS Expert: Error in CABD! EDC Coding help please

Hi guys,

Hope you can help.

I am trying to code out EDC in my E93.

I have completed nearly all the necessary steps but feel like i am failing at the final hurdle.

These are the steps I have completed successfully:

1. Unplug blue cable from EDC module in trunk
2. Remove 223 from VO (in both CAS and NFRM)
3. Set EDCK_ALIVE_ZAEHLER to nicht_aktiv and EDCK_ID_MONITOR to nicht_aktiv in KOMBI

However, when i create the TRC file for CIC, set EDC_CIC to nicht_aktiv, rename to MAN and try to code back to the car using NCS, I get the following error:

Size: 336.1 KB

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Just code your CIC with the VO without $223, nothing else is needed.

The MAN is only needed if you don't change the VO.

Thanks for the reply.

That is 100% correct.

I successfully changed the VO but assumed i also needed to recode the KOMBI and CIC.

VO changed, fault cleared using INPA and no more EDC light.

Thanks!
