Can anyone explain to me why Meisterschaft exhausts have such bad reputation. I hear people telling me to stay away from them, but from hearing their sound clip it sounds pretty nice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEFV4...eature=related

Here's a link to the Fame's Freiheit "Bikyou" exhaust manufactured by Tanabe
http://www.fame-web.com/shopping/90/mu/MUFH00290.html With crappy USD to JPY exchange rate, it works out to be about 2700.

Japan MSRP is about $3500 with current currency. According to that site... The 249,900 yen is special discounted price for CASH/LOCAL transaction. The Japanese retail price is 312,900 yen, which is about US$3500.00 |

You mixed up the MSRP, retail, and cash price. Retail for the unit is more like 3000, cash price is 2700. Also, if you exported the exhaust, it can be tax exempt and you get your 5% local sales tax back. Of course as a company, you would have to pay duty for the exhaust in state side, which would jack up your cost.

great info & very helpful. I am making enquiries into a Milltek currently. They have an office/workshop close to me so going to check it out next week on their test car. Anyone got one of these fitted or seen/heard one in person? I had one on my E46 M3 and was pleased with it.

i didnt get a chance to read through the whole thread so sorry if this is a repost. I just wanted to let you know that eisenmann exhausts are now available as a bolt on (no longer just a weld on muffler). I just ordered one should be here in a couple weeks Ill post pics. I contacted wheelsto.com, they were a great help, and i recommend them to everyone. Ask for Julius he is solid.
Pricing is not yet available but safe to say it wont be cheaper then then current model ![]()

Thanks for updating post #1.
I think the peeps at Blue Wave are just lagging in updating the website. Fame is already selling the exhaust AFAIK.
