Free shipping this month so yes if you buy them in March.

I can speak to this.

I bought a set of Slonik covers during a group buy put on by Alex Miller in January of 2022.
They were "the" covers to get at the time.
I paid $525 shipped which is much more than they are new now, and just about what the Evolve covers cost shipped to me as of this writing.

However, I was not 100% happy with the Slon units and I knew I would have to manually knife-edge them to meet my standards. I was quite vocal in certain places about how the Slon covers were nice, but could be improved aerodynamically. Other people were designing competing covers at the time and I personally consulted with some of them about how to make their covers better by reducing or eliminating the windage inherent to the Slon design so they could produce a better product. Unfortunately these discussions went nowhere.

I kept searching every few months, and finally found the Evolve S65 VANOS covers (and to a similar extent the Ventrax units as well). These made way more sense to me, being full-coverage. They would save me tons of time knife-edging the Slon covers, and just eliminate the windage issue altogether by not acting like a spinning fan in a cloud of oil vapor, robbing power from the engine at high RPM (half crank speed, but still significant IMO).

If that's not making sense to you, think about the aerodynamic performance of a spinning full-face cover like the Evolve covers versus the aerodynamics of a spinning windowed cover like the Slon units. Maybe think about those Bonneville salt flat cars with the domed, completely sealed wheels...

Anyway, I'm FINALLY getting around to doing the VANOS cover job on my car, and I'm ordering Evolve units. I will be selling my BNIB Slon units to anyone who'd like them.

Thank you Evolve for saving me the hassle of knife-edging by hand these other covers I have. It would probably have taken me 4 days, and I'd still be left with an inferior solution IMO.

Interesting point you make about the windowed versions creating turbulence, but I really think the effect will be minimal, seeing as at least 1/2 of each window is covered by the spring.

But if you want to do before and after dyno tests, I'd love to see the results!

To take this even further, I made another one of my classic "all inclusive" comparison threads, this time for VANOS hub covers:
BMW S65 VANOS hub cover options (all inclusive).

Well it clearly is because taking the bolt on route involves a lot more labour and so a lot more money!
Either you did the job yourself or money is no object to you. Fair play whichever it is, but not everyone is in such a fortunate position.
