i don't think many sound good with forward with like maybe 4 exhaust.

Corsa, Akra Evo, Gintani, Challenge. CORSA has built in tech to reduce drone, so it's by far the easiest option to reducing the rasp from a forward X.

I would say the Gintani X pipe sounds better due to a Kiss merge method for the "x pipe" vs a traditional X cross over. which hey guess.. what.. is the alibaba rep link shared.

Unless you are MODIFYING the absolute F out of the BW Forward X... I.E adding 300cell cats, extra 2 resonators..

people who do that, and say ooh my forward X doesn't sound bad.. well guess what.. you just added like $1200 in extra material to make it sound good LOL.

I love my forward X - sounds great. I've got a titanium forward x w/ resonators and hi flow cats paired with an Akra rear.

Need to do a tune with it tho - it's a power first, sound second type of mod.

Fair point! I haven't heard it without the cats installed so I have no real frame of reference other than the stock X-pipe with the Corsa. IMO you don't need a 2nd set of resonators with the cats. I bought a used resonated version with the cats already done so wasn't much more than a brand new one with no cats. If there is more power to be made vs a non forward X, I'm going that route, every little bit helps when NA.

What tune are you running and how much difference did the tune make vs hardware change and no tune (where I am currently)?

I'm running Epic Stage 2 - there is just more torque everywhere when tuned + the forward X. IIRC top end generally stays the same regardless of X placement, but the midrange with the forward X gets bumped up a bit. Also a big part of the power increase comes from losing the primary cats.

If you add a forward X without a tune the car can get a bit anemic.

Anyone in here with the alibaba titanium forward x got this sound around 3 to 4k RPM? It’s definitely related to the exhaust. I’ve tightened the bolts and nuts holding the flanges together and also the clamp holding the test pipes onto the mid pipe. I am missing the clamps that attach to the bracket at the back of the transmission. Here’s a video of the noise I’m getting when I floor it from 3k to 4k RPM. noise
