I have the car on my profile, with details and pics, I also have 100 more pics available of the entire build for anyone who's interested or serious. Why is there always ONE guy who has something negative to say? Ya i only have 2 posts, once upon a time you only had 2 posts as well. We all have to start somewhere, and you remind me why i never use forums. If you don't have any interest in the car, don't look, if you don't have anything positive to say, don't say anything. I have $43k in receipts for a car i paid $73k for with only 23k miles on it. So yes, $75k is a fair price i feel being that my dealer is willing to give $63k on trade and doesnt pay for add-ons. asking for $12k extra for $43k worth of work less then 2 years later isn't anything absurd. DBAA your whole life.

You're not off base on the evaluation. But with the next gen right around the corner 75K on a used car is quite high, regardless of mods. As an ex auto broker I would recommend you part out the car and sell it in stock form where you will net much higher profits than you will as is. Plus your warranty will make it a selling point that you can't advertise right now. GLWS bud! PM me if I can help in any way

You won't get close to your asking price. I tried selling my E92 that had more money into it then you do yours. Start the part out if you really want to sell my man. Good luck.

$75k is far from realistic unfortunately.

If it was a little less pricy I'd be very interested, but will ask a question bout it. Is the meth tank needed for the charge cooling? I had a supercharged 67 camaro and had the tank and it was a pain to use. We run 91 fuel here with splashes of 100 here and there, but if the tank was ditched would the boost have to be dialed down? Beautiful car. If the price was less I would try and make an offer.

lol Good luck on the $75k. Its clean and well modded, but mods don't get paid for when you sell a car. Part it out and sell it.

I also gotta say, This is a post on a car for sale....Not sure how it came to be a bash session on what I'm asking for it. If you don't like the price or aren't in the market for an e92 or don't have any positive advice on tips for selling it, like parting it out, or offering help like some have then why say something rude just to be a Richard....I posted the car on here and became a member to show off my car and look at some of the beautiful cars other members have built. I only posted it for sale to see what kind of interest and advice people with similar cars would have. I wasn't holding much hope on selling a car where 90% of the people here already own one haha....I agree parting it out would be way to re-coup some money, but i have two problems with that... IF i were someone who worked on his own car and had tools to do so thats an idea. But by the time i pay my shop $1000's of dollars in labor to take it apart and put back to stock, I'm still not really any better off.
My second problem is this "I'll take Business Ethics for $800 Alex"....Taking a car and putting it back to stock is fine when it comes to wheels, snap on carbon pieces, etc....But i do not agree nor respect anyone who would think its ok to take a supercharger off of a motor or brakes off a car, and put it back to stock and then mislead a dealer or buyer into thinking its never been taken apart and can be re-certified or retains warranty. Not only is this unethical but its a good way to get yourself in a legal battle with the dealer you traded to or the customer you defrauded. Because you can bet, that if the motor blew up, or the brakes failed and you were expecting warranty, or the dealer later sees that the Vin-Locked ECU has been re-flashed and tampered with, they WILL come after you. My family is in a related business and we take people to court all the time for this kind of stuff, and we have never lost. I would rather sell the car like i built it to a buyer who appreciates quality work and is willing to pay for it, then to mislead or defraud anyone for a few extra bucks. Just my stance, not looking to start an argument. |
