Looking for Help with Combox Retrofit (2009 E90 M3)
I'm attempting a combox retrofit on my 2009 E90 M3, with the MULF + TCU from factory.
I purchased a MULF + TCU Combox plug and play harness from this guy on eBay (found via a thread on e90post): https://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-COMBOX-...4AAOSwA71boh1U Now I just need to get an actual Combox module. I checked realOEM for my car and it listed 3 compatible Combox module part numbers. The PN of the combox module I found locally is 84109257164. Can anyone confirm that this will work? I'm also curious if there are any benefits to the other 2 version of combox (84102447925 and 84102447926) From what I can tell on realOEM, it seems like the version I can get locally supports 2G and GPS, while the other two versions are 4G + GPS, and just 4G respectively. Hopefully someone here has some insight and can assist. VIN: E201670 Cheers. |

Buy a 4G version. Last numbers are 163 or 164
The difference between both is that 164 is with GPS and 163 without. GPS means that you can connect combox directly to the gps receiver but you'll need to retrofit the cable from gps to combox aswell. |

If you look on realOEM the VO options and receiver status are provided. Pick the one with 4g listed that supersedes your part. With a correct harness it's plug and play except for some coding to let the car know about the changes so everything plays nice together.
