Coolant temp slower to rise than oil temp on Carly

Noticed that my coolant temp is very slow to rise from startup...

From cold start to around 80C motor temp, coolant temp shows 40C. It really takes a while in a slow traffic to get to 70C, and hardly goes over 80C even under moderate to hard load. Is it normal motorwise? I feel like the rise of temp should be the opposite... Motor temp is consistent.

There's no code related to water pump either. (only a record of 00A6D1, hasn't yet appeared after I cleared the code)

I also thought of possible explanations:

1. Open thermostat
2. Cool ambient temp (currently around 0-15C. I logged it at 15C.)
3. High water: antifreeze ratio (e.g. 7:3)

Na that's easy. remove the plenum, remove the radiator hoses, remove the 10mm bolts, and then swap the thermostat. it's a 30 minute job.

Bleeding the cooling system on this car couldn't be simpler. Start it, set heater to defrost and max fan, fill coolant slowly untill the air is bleed out and the reservoir is full. This is a VERY simple repair. I'm sure it's something you could handle with simple hand tools and $40 worth of parts.
