"NO ONE" of us could do this ...Never !
Even with his car we cannot do it , because he knows the car 100% and every square cm of the ring...
And when you think to have the driver skills to do it , you need the balls to do it !
So congrats Luke , what you did was more than unique ...A masterpiece on the ring

I love it. So much fun to watch. Must be a loose setup, counter steering out of every corner. Would love a ride along.

As many keep asking let me try to explain.
Industry records do not measure T13
Tourist and some trackways measure without Doettinger Hoehe = BTG/ Bridge to Gantry

Full lap is with everything but this value is not used anywhere

So for this lap:
My 7:05 BTG = 7:29 Full lap = 7:25 Sport Auto Supertest/ Industry timing

Compared to the official numbers of other cars. My 7:25 lap (Industry timing)
was quicker than:
997 GT3 RS 4.0 7:30 (+5sek)
991 GT3 did a 7:32 (+7sek)
Cayman GT4 7:42 (+17sek)
M4 7:52 (+27sek)
But slower than ;-)
Porsche 918 Spyder 7:13 (-12sek)

Had the chance to meet both 4 Schirmer cars & Luke's M3 @ TF.

Luke speaks trueish, Schirmer are road cars built to race, (grey) and race cars ready to road with nice interiors (black GT).

Had the chance to be passenger of both grey (Nigel & Phil), the chassis is simply incredible.

Luke's car is more "my" definition of personnal project, you see the huge budget difference between both, but Reader built great rides with that E92 looking super-race, and Alex' E46 very clean !

Congratulations for the time !

This is not true. BTG in a 918 Spyder would be around 6:30-6:35 roughly. On this track, 5 seconds is a lot of time, let alone 6 to 7 times that.

Except that you are on a much stickier tire than any of those cars are. Trofeo R is a FAR better tire than anything any of those cars come with and likely account for 12-15 seconds over even the Pilot Sport Cup 2. Not to mention stock vs highly modified and the more obvious in the you had an almost empty track (only three cars who did not slow you down the entire lap).

Also not sure where the 918 Spider time came from, as its 6:57 to the best of my knowledge.

Im planning to head over and meet Team Schirmer next couple of months. Good guys and the cars especially the interior is insane. Detailed.

Very nice driving and exactly the kind of car I would like to have. I currently track a e30 M3 with S52 and all the go fast goodies, but at times wished I had more power and something a bit more modern, for various reasons (cost of replacement parts & bigger safer chassis). However, the e92 always seemed to heavy of a car, but the way you got that thing prepped (without a laundry list of modifications) seems perfect and plenty fast. How much does the car weigh in it's current form?

Also, a key piece of information I noticed on BridgeToGantry.com, but wasn't listed here is the weight without fuel and driver...

1,310 kg

(2,888 lbs)

What's the point of comparing a highly modified E92 M3 weighing 2,888lbs to stock cars like the M4, Cayman GT4 etc ?
I know a guy who has a highly modified Miata that destroys stock Porsche GT3's, Z06's etc....
