Amazing driving. Congratz!
Well. Pretty easy.
It was a stock e92 M3 back in the days before we startet...
Welded roll-cage
Hood and trunk are fiberglass
Doors are Carbon
Windows are Macrolon - front windshield is a heated glas
Dashboard is carbon
AC and the stock ventilation system removed
Seats are Recaros with Schroth belts
Single Mass flywheel with Tilton clutch
4.10 diff with upgraded diff locker and active cooling
Uniball suspension parts
GT4 lip and flaps and big GT4 MKII wing
small 22Ah battery
Akraprovic Exhaust
Macht Schnell Pulleys and Air Filter
CAE Shifter
KW 3-way Competition

Engine internals and gearbox is stock
Stock Water and Oil cooler
GT4 power steering cooler
AP 6piston 25mm brake front - stop tech 4piston rear. PFC01 all around

On slicks I mostly run 27/65-18 on 10x18 ET20 all around
On semi slicks I do run 285/30-18 on 10x18 ET20 all around
or like on this lap here 265/35-18 on 10x18 and 295/30-18 on 11x18

here some nice shots from the race last saturday.
again just finished 2nd out of 180cars.
A 997 MKII Cup with a professional driver, 100kg lighter than my M3, 450HP and sequential gearbox is still too fast for me so he won the race.

I'm curious what you could pull out of a 100% bone stock 2013 M3 coupe with either transmission. Would you be up in the 8 minute range? I thought the official lap time for a stock E92 M3 was 8:10.

I'm trying to figure out if your car is quicker than a more powerful Schirmer build of if you're just that good of a driver.
My car follows a different approach. If you ever have the chance to see a Schirmer car you'll be impressed.
Yes, the cars are also race legal with roll cage and fire extinguisher but they don't look like naked race cars inside like mine.
The whole interior is build with many carbon parts and many parts are covered with leather or alcantara.
So basically it's a race car which is that nice that you could drive 300miles or take your wife to dinner with it.
The Schirmer axles and suspension setup they developed are really awesome and the big engine they use pulls really strong.
I do know the guys very well but my approach is to use my limited
pocket money for trackways and racing and tires and fuel that's why I do have to push the limits on the stock drivetrain or with some cheaper parts.
I do know the driver who did the BTG 6:59 lap with his Schirmer M3.
He's a very good driver but did have 2 situations where he lost some speed due to traffic.
And yes. I do have more laps and experience on the track which probably makes the difference of another some seconds.
Yes, he was on slicks but I didn't have one situation where I had to lift due to traffic in my 7:05min lap.
I compared the two videos. Oh dear. Would love to have a e.g. 4.4l
engine, too. Pulls way stronger than my 4.0l engine...

But who says that my spare engine I just picked up will stay stock?

Very interesting about the Schirmer interiors. There's no build I'm more interested in seeing firsthand than a Schirmer rig. Wish they had more info online or a site that wasn't in German only.

Anyway, so are you saying that you could turn a faster time in a Schirmer car than the less versed guy who ran that 6:59? Do you know if your car is lighter than their car?

Google Schirmer Facebook or search them on Facebook directly. Lots of good information, updates and photos of their vehicles on that page.

Awesome! Congratulations on such a great run.

What weight did you get the car down to with all of those modifications?

In BMW's current vernacular; "Add Lightness!"

Great driving, really fun to watch.

I think I've seen your car quite a few times on the 'Ring, even back when I was still driving there with my 335i. That thing moves!

Is the bridge to gantry run for Touristenfahrten days from Tiergarten to Döttinger Höhe? I understand you can't do continuous laps, I just don't know where the paddock (for lack of a better term) is on the Döttinger straight. Trying to visualize where the run ended for this video since I can't watch it right now.
