Would think that's on the cheaper side considering mileage/year/ZCP/color spec and gives you some cushion to do the RB/TBAs. Is it in decent physical condition?

I’d say the price is fair. Alpine White/Fox Red is a desired color combo and being a final model year and ZCP is also good. Carbon roof or moonroof? Do you have pictures you can share? Just make sure you budget a few thousand for rod bearing replacement as you don’t know how those 4 other owners took care of the car and let it warm up properly.

He did send me a UCI sheet along with pictures of the brakes and exterior imperfections. Front tires are at 5/32 rear are at 7/32. The tires are 7 years old. So, it'll need tires soon. 2nd key ($200~), 1 wheel is curbed ($150~), rod bearings and TA ($3500~) tires ($1200~).

No crazy imperfections. The major thing is the wheel IMHO. I can't tell but seems like the brakes have roughly 50% life left.

I don't know if it would be a good decision to go from a B58 to a S55. I haven't driven an E9x M3 yet. Going to try to drive one locally before pulling the trigger on this M3.

On your budgeting: the 2nd key I have heard is closer to 600+$ versus your $200 estimate.

I called about this vehicle during my search (I just bought a AW/FR in NYC area). Two things that stuck out to me: both headlights were getting fogged badly after a wash, indicating a seal might need to be fixed (cost me a lot on mine). And secondly, the rear sunshade was stuck open and wouldn’t close - just making sure you’re aware.

Oh wow, he didn't mention the sunshade not opening. He did mention the headlight condescension though. I could probably get a key made for less than $600 I hope. If not, 1 key it is for the time being.

If I can get this one for $32.5k-$33k and have some of the cosmetic things taken care of, I'll do it.

I think this is a good idea. The B58 power delivery is quite different to the S65. I’ve owned a M340i and the low end torque makes it really fun stop light to stop light. The fuel economy is also quite good. The E9x M3 feels very different with its high-revving natural aspirated engine. Good luck!

Will an E93 M3 non-competition package drive the same as an E92 M3 w/competion package? There's an E93 M3 15 min from my house that I can go drive.

Dang, there's no E92 close by to me that I can drive. Eh, at least I'll be able to take an in-person look at one and hear/feel the way the engine drives and transmission shifts.

I’d offer you a ride in mine but it doesn’t have any seats at the moment. I’m sure you can find someone to give you a test ride in the area.

Well, if anyone cares, we're $3k away from a deal. The seller is asking $35,980, and I am asking $33k. He has a 2011 M3 with 71k miles on it that is going for $34,980. The 2011 looks decent. Rod bearing and TA have been done. It also has two keys.

I think Alpine white is one of the best colors for the E92 M3. My dream spec would be Lemans Blue over Bamboo single hump E92 M3 competition.

I don't have any insight into these specific cars, but wanted to chime in that Doug at SwitchCars is an honest and stand up guy in the industry IMO. Just my $0.02 - I would not hesitate to do business with him, take it FWIW.
