video:
so a little backstory, i filled up the m3 with a little bit too much oil and it gave me the "max oil" on the electric oil reader. let it sit for one night and then the next day it starting making some bongo noises down below. since then i've had it towed to a shop and they inspected it, turned out to be oil on the drive belt, alt belt and idler belt. everything was replaced and oil was cleaned up. NO METAL FLAKES IN FILTER BTW. since getting it back, no more knocking but the vibration during idle is a little more noticeable than normal. so now, only issue is that the vibration during idle is a little more prevalent than usual, would it be because of the overfilled oil? i know it can cause damage to the seals so i have an appointment to get a few L removed, but would that cause excessive vibrations within the cabin? LOL sorry for being stupid ( not clutch related since its still there with the clutch pushed in ) specs: 2008 e92 m3 6mt og bearings and ta's at 95k km ( or 59k miles ) only mod is 3inch valved catback exhaust any help would be appreciated! thank you in advance ![]() |

Does the noise increase in frequency as the revs raise?
