That price is a lot for OEM bearings and OEM rod bolts which cost less than BE or VAC.

It includes almost $250 for new engine mounts, which I requested.

$1,190.97 is the cost for the parts from Turner using BE stuff, which is backordered.

$1,228.52 is the cost for the parts from the shop, which I've already determined charges a bit more than I'd like for parts.

But it's not much of a difference.

They're getting me for 10 hours labor, which seems about right.

Agree it's not a huge difference, even more reason to go with the better parts (BE or VAC) imo.

$933 for OEM stuff from ECS.

Corteco makes the OE mounts and they sell for $55ea

Source your stuff separately yourself and you could probably get it slightly cheaper and eliminate a few things from the ECS package that are a little overkill ( new oil drain plugs, assembly lube (I prefer coating with 10w60 oil + BE said using oil was fine).

Agree. The shop had initially made a good argument for OEM bearings that I've since decided wasn't "good enough" — they said I could source my own bearings. However, I suspect if I start sourcing a bunch of OEM parts they're going to say "we said you could source the aftermarket bearings, not everything" — this is pretty normal, shops, in general don't want to work with parts they didn't provide, barring some aftermarket stuff.
