awe...this thread makes me miss my high mileage E46. Had 182k when I sold it to put some cash towards my M.
I had about the same replacements and maintenance as you, at the same mileage...haha. Untitled by raek6g6, on Flickr

Throttle Body Actuator Gave up the Ghost
OK..........Finally at 175k miles i got an error on my dash saying Reduced Engine Power and my dash lit up like a christmas tree. I took it to a local auto parts store to get the code read and it said: P1628..so I looked on the forums for more information. 2B21 - P1628 Information saved in DME Fault code 2B21 - P1628 Fault text Throttle-valve actuator pre-drive check, bank 1 Fault description Throttle Valve Actuator Spring Test Malfunction during Opening (Bank 1) Condition for fault identification Test condition: Wire permanently disabled So I bought 2 of them from the stealership because if Bank one went bad most likely bank 2 will give up the ghost eventually. I got a local indy shop to do the install and now im back on the road.

I just read through your whole thread. I like your take on how you use your cars. I'm the same way. Why buy it if you can't enjoy it to the fullest? If you take care of it it will return the favor. You give me hope to not have too many issues with a higher mileage E9X M car. Did you ever get a warranty or are you just winging it?
