I have been through the interior and everything from the seats to the cigarette lighter works. They really did do a good job of converting the car back to OEM spec.
Clearly the PO knew what he was doing by having the right guy (deansbimmer) put it back to stock. I noticed that the PO listed the motor & SC yesterday for $8,500 plus a stock s65.

Your car is beautiful, red interior or not. Enjoy!

Beautiful, Love it. How do you like the roof, just found it online for $1500. Not bad for the quality and look of the e92. Always thought that should have been an option on the e90.

Don't see any difference tbh
Mineral White was a standard color (not BMW Individual) on 2011-2013 E92/E93. It was never offered on the E90.

Brilliant White Metallic was a BMW Individual color, and if you search for the thread with production stats, you'll see this is a 1 of 1 car for NA E90 M3 production (6 E92s). It does look very similar to Mineral White. But many prefer the rarity of these individual colors, especially in this case being it's the only one in existence (at least in NA) and maybe because Mineral White was never offered on the E90

Edit - here's the production stats, there were 774 Mineral White E92s built.

https://www.m3post.com/forums/attach...8;d=1376330183
Got the E93 list - 1 of 4 individual Brilliant White, but with the individual extended platinum leather, ind piano dash and ind audio prob 1 of 1 in the universe..

Anyway nice car pal enjoy!

It looks really good in person. I've seen carbon fiber parts before start turning into a piss yellow color but that is not the case so far.

Wow, is it that car! Not that much for all in on mods myself but that car was simply stunning and would have bought it as is! Strange it didn't sell?

I actually ended up purchasing the car from CarMax for what I feel is a great deal considering the mileage, options, and condition. The car was extensively modified by the two previous owners and converted back to stock by deansbimmer. I was hesitant at first due to the previous modifications but that went away after talking to deansbimmer and getting an inspection performed at Edmond Motorwerks who gave her a clean bill of health minus a few things I already had scheduled for CarMax to fix.
Specs:
2009 Individual Brilliant White E90 with Challenge USA carbon fiber roof
Premium package, cold weather package, comfort access
Mileage: 45k
Price: 25998
Added Maxcare to 100k miles for 3800 with $100 deductible.

Plans are to modify the exhaust and just drive the car for a while as is. I honestly was leaning towards a w204 C63 AMG but I am extremely satisfied with the M and look forward to many more months of excitement. The car is back at CarMax now getting some work done to it so I do not have many high quality pics other than the original for sale pictures. I'll be sure to grab some good photos when I get her back.
Is this your car on you tube? Must be, seeing as it's the only e90 in Brilliant White

It sure was loaded up from the factory.

Nice, nice, nice.

1 month update on the car:

So I purchased the car one month ago and it has been in service for over half of the time I have owned the vehicle. Carmax had issues ordering the right headlight and I still think they ordered the wrong headlight since it does not move like the other headlight moves with adaptive lighting on. I decide to make another service appointment with carmax in a few weeks to look at the headlight again and look at another minor issue but I wanted to drive the car for a week to see if anything else needed fixing before my 30 day warranty ran out (as long as you report it in the 30 day window, you can get it fixed whenever and still be covered). In the mean time I got some miles on the car and it is truly a joy to drive. Last Monday on March 4th, I made an appointment with BMW to get the Blower Motor and Air Bag recall done. It was suppose to only take 4 hours or so... well 8 days later they still have my car. I am being told that "they had to have someone from Germany remotely tap in to do the recalls" for some reason.... and that the "DKG MODULE now needs to be replaced and the cost is $5,500." The dealership is "awaiting approval from BMW to pay for the service." Honestly I am a little confused to how taking my car in for the basic recalls have led to a damaged DKG Module because I do not think they are even related. Anyone every here of this happening?

Looks like it was installed in December of 2014. Not sure if there was ever any protective coating. The car was originally a slick top as well.

So I called the BMW dealership and the issue is not the dkg module, it's the mechatronic unit. According to the service advisor BMW approved it and is going to foot the bill. The mechatronic unit will be in Friday but the car more than likely won't be done until Monday. Still unsure how it was damaged...

This car was a steal, especially with the warrenty and the roof customization. Hope everything goes smoothly with the repairs, my 2011 was at BMW for two months shortely after I took delivery, never actually got a solid answer what was wrong with it so I feel your pain

Crazy to hear of these issues.

New headlights need to be coded in. I wouldn't think Carmax has the software to do this correctly but it should be a simple solution.

The carbon roof on this car has plenty of clear coat on it. It's not going to yellow. Carbon yellowing over time is due to UV exposure to the resin or original gel coat. Many CF vendors claim to have UV gel coat applied (in the mold = lol) but really all carbon parts should have 2k urethane clear applied after receiving.

DKG is the German abbreviation for Mechatronics. Same thing. I wouldn't put the dealership above any blame or suspicion. These recall items are usually done in a rush with the techs often pushing the envelope with safety in an effort to do the job faster. It is entirely possible that the tech purposefully didn't disconnect the battery and accidentally shorted the module. Or who knows...Don't expect an honest explanation of what went wrong- they'll pay the blame game. You're getting a lot of freebies on top of a steal of a price for the car. The inconvenience is worth the outcome.

Oh they admitted it’s their fault. Even though I’m not getting a clear explanation
From my service advisor, I’m glad they are taking care of it. So far I’ve gotten the hood and trunk actuators replaced, a new oil cap, a new driver side headlight, offered 4 new tires, and a new mechatronics unit without having to pay anything and getting to drive a loaner car. The car itself drives and looks fantastic and I am more than happy with the purchase.
