Yes sir. I thought putting the side view but lack of wiring harness made me not doing it. But it is easy to do so if you have the cables.

It is even possible to do bird eye on Cic with the mirror. But too much job. If you find the cable go for it!

Hi , i upgraded my CCC small navi to CIC professional navi. My car is 320i E90 150hp 2007. Did you think i need to change JBE3 for this retrofit and i dont have combox?

No need to change the JBE2 to JBE3. Coding the TRSVC does change couple parameters but functionality still there. The reason i did upgrade cause i like to have fully control in my car. And it is now completely an LCI. I also did iLevel update to keep up with it.

Because my iLevel is the highest as it can be like 2013 E9x M3 production cars with 2021 update, i was able to install 4G combox without an issue!

But if you just wanna use the camera and dont care about the TRSVC not being read by the diagnostic tools, just keep it as is.

I do the same with my PRE LCI Version is now fully LCI m-sport. Maybe i will do it in a future project after finishing the project 4 cylinders with distronic , because im playing with arduino staff, because friend from this forum is helping me to do it.
Is the 4G combox - combox media?

What's ilevel? And 4g combox? Does that mean u hav connected drive?

iLevel is integration Level of your vehicle which combined with all the other softwares version.

4G combox came to life after 2-3g is deactivated by companies. I did this retrofit in 2020 so i couldnt active my VIN with the 4G combox since they removed the portal activation menu from the system but there are few who uses Connected Drive in their e9x m3 at the moment till Agust 2022.

But i was able to connect my 4G combox to BMW Assist and SOS services without paying to BMW Assist.

Ohh ok i understand now. And was the 4g combox worth at that point for just those services? I'm not sure if we could of open and lock doors and also flash lights like on the f series

No u cant. They deactivated the menu for activating the retrofited combox services. I even talked to CEO of Bmw North America. They couldnt help me out after all hussle i have done

Hey there. As you see in the very first page of my required items, E84 PDC is Must. There is no way you can use e9x PDC module for OEM cam application. You can but E84 Front and Rear module but you do not have to have front PDC.

I am happy to see my method getting famous in the process of doing this retrofit. Everything looks good on the pictures. Correct module with camera.

Make sure if you are doing the NBT EVO on E series, camera canbus from the TRSVC should be connected to NBT adapter not the original canbus of the vehicle. NBT will look for CanBus2 signal not regular canbus.

im sure that is not necessary. Fine to connect trsvc to kcan1 F chassis trsvc still communicated through kcan1 and video signal is still sent to HU with fbas.

Have you ever tried before? First of all your TRSVC not F chassis. Second of all F chassis TRSVC wont work with E chassis PDC. And you are wrong about CanBUS!

any issues with swapping the JBE with the black and blue plugs being switched around?

update, made a twisted pair for the obd for dcan, and ran from the obd to the blue plug on the jbe. the jbe has logic and will set the pinout based on your build date, so default the code and do not change your build date, ncs will handle the rest. So now my e90 does not communicate from the obd to the jbe with 1 wire, it now communicates over twisted pair DCAN.

while my car is taken apart while i get NBT in i got the harness and X1 PDC ready. its difficult to find these pdc modules so if anyone is interested in doing this, I would grab one asap.
