Lime Rock...emergency help !

I am supposed to drive 250 miles with my wife's 328i vert and turn it in 3 months early from a 36 month lease.

Wife is upset with me that we are turning her 328i vert in early. She has 550i to drive that I thought we agreed on, that is in the driveway, but now she is telling me that the car is too masculine.

Also I am worried that while I used to have a 08 M3 Sedan...non loaded car....that I sold after it hit 56,000 miles.

I am worried that the exhaust on the Lime Rock will be annoying. Is it much louder than stock ?

I have a 2010 GT3, and that's pretty loud and hopefully the M3 wouldn't be any where near as loud ?

I don't get it, you are getting the lime rock for your wife? Or you were getting it for you but now have to give it to your wife because she doesn't like the 550? My wife loves her 535.

The exhaust on the lime rock is the mperf right? If so it's just a little bit louder than stock at low rpm and doesn't drone from what I've read. Sounds very tame and shouldn't be a problem here. (That's why I decided to not get that exhaust and went with something louder.)

The lime rock is for me.

The 550i will be the wife's after the 328i vert goes back.

Now the wife is all upset with me and kinda wants me to give up my Honda S2000...instead of her giving up the vert.

Still worried about how loud the exhaust will be on the Lime Rock

1) Money doesn't seem to be an issue, so why the need to get rid of the 328i if she wants it? Are you running out of garage space or something?

2) If she really wants the 328i instead of the 550i, why not get rid of the 550i instead? This should smooth the path for your new M3.

3) Has she spent much time in the 550i? If not, maybe some time in it would help.

4) How in the name of f*ck is this an "emergency"??? If this is the worst "emergency" you have going on right now, your life is pretty damn good.

You'll be fine with the exhaust. My wife hates loud exhausts but I found that it wasn't the noise level that was bothering her, it was the drone. And good news for you, the M Perf has no drone at all. So you'll be OK. In terms of the M3 being too manly, just tell your wife she'll look amazing in the M3 and all the her friends will be jealous when their husbands stare at her driving. It worked for me...kind of.

If all you're worried about is the noise, then don't let that stop you. You can always swap out the slip on section for one from a regular E92 if your wife complains. Those can be picked up for less than $250 all day long.

If I were you, I'd be more worried about a pissed off wife.

The performance exhaust is not too loud. I have it. The stock exhaust is too muted in my opinion. Don't worry you'll like the performance exhaust, trust me.
