Mine is still lacking the ability to receive MyInfo messages. There was much confusion at the dealer after BMW Assist told them that MyInfo is only on the premium packages ... which isn't true.
So back to the dealer next week to try again. |

When a dealer service person calls Assist they are routed to a dedicated technical person that can fix this kind of account issues in a couple of days. Normally a customer do not have access to that "behind doors" technical personnel, we all talk to a customer service representative. In my experience so far I have not found any ignorant Assist representative in any of my calls -and I have called a lot of times with some technically complex questions due to my 2009 iDrive retrofit. And every single call was treated by the utmost professionalism and assitance. If they do not know the answer they will research it and will call me back. And when they do is to provide the solution, either by them right away or by telling me to route my issue to the dealer so they can perform their solution after that. So after a call from my local dealer shop foreman they made possible in my 05/08 production M3 with a retrofitted MY2009 CIC iDrive to receive MyInfo. It is also able to access the BMW Search feature for $199 a year. Even when the "old" CCC iDrive is installed back, I still receive MyInfo. This was supposed to be impossible in a MY2008 iDrive, however it works 100% OEM regardless of which iDrive is installed in my M3. Once I had an issue with no connection to BMW Search -the $199 a year service that I'm not supposed to be able to have but I do- and they solved it in three days as well. My suggestion is to talk with your service shop foreman and not with any service advisor and ask for assistance in this issue. The only thing that the foreman have to do is to make an Assist call from your car and explain the issue. They will take care of this. |

That's exactly what's planned for next week. I'll follow up with what happens.
