My biggest complaint with buying a used car. Recent pick up has things rolling around inside the dash that I can't find. Gotta rip her out!

Finally got around to installing my DINAN underdrive pulley kit which has been collecting dust for almost 2 years. Totally forgot about this thing.

Haven't driven it afterwards yet, curious to see if there is any noticeable change in the driving feel. Not expecting much, lol.

Dumb Question.. But you mentioned you did the Rod Bearings, what is the main bearing that you reference? Separate issue from Rod Bearings? I just got my e90 last week, 96K miles.. Waiting on Blackstone oil test, but all else checked out on the car, but I have no idea if the bearings have ever been changed... The car is mint, so with a good owner for the life, its hard to believe it wasn't done by now, but I can't assume it was.

whats the mileage? The amount of copper that is showing is a bit excessive if the car is under 100K km.

Main bearings are similar to rod bearings, but just less frequent failure. To best understand it, I recommend searching and reading up on them. A member here Deansbimmer has documented replacing the mains in conjunction with the rod bearings.

Actually you should feel some tq in the low end. We don't have much to begin w/ so even a small increase should be felt.

Funny. I end up back at the gas station almost every other time I drive this thing. It's too addictive!

Weird. I feel like I noticed a change in the 4500-top end area. The car seems more eager to rev and feels even a bit more responsive. It's definitely a subtle change though.

Got the M back with BE bearings installed earlier in the week. Now waiting to properly enjoy the alpine tune after the 1k break in period. Have some driving to do before the tail of the dragon run!

Blacked out beauty is ready.

No I know, they are just as likely to show wear. But they don't fail like rod bearings cause they don't have the kinetic force of the pistons going up and down. Seized mains is a freak accident for the S65 since the failure rates are so low, but of course, something to keep in mind of if you are planning to keep the car for a long time.

Cleaned up the engine bay and yet again, another wash and quick detail. Something about washing the car, one of the few cars I have owned that I actually enjoy taking a Saturday morning to wash her up.

Love love love this car!!!

Gave her a good detail today.

Yesterday did the Alpine Tune - absolutely love it and noticed a nice difference - pulls way harder, idles much better, etc.

After that test drive, I installed the Macht Schnell under drive pulley. In the past added Megan Racing exhaust - which I absolutely love!! Over the past few weeks its gotten a little louder and I really like it a lot. Also added the Macht Schnell Performance filter.....did plugs, thermostat, coolant, etc.

More I drive this car the more I fall in love with it. Its not my daily driver and I miss driving it terribly when I use my other car(s).

So happy I bought this!!!
