ISO: Shaved front spring mount/guides for EDC lowering spring install

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
Looking for someone who either has a spare set or has the means to machine front guides for me so I can install lowering springs.

I have the e36 bump stops and springs on order I just need the top mount

If it's someone that does machining I'll ship a new set of top mounts to them for the mods

Lmk pricing!

There should be a few shops nearby who can do it, it doesn't have to be perfect as long as the height is the same.

I used a band saw and cleaned it up with a razor, it was perfectly flat and matched the other side.

Look at Malek@MRF's write-up, there's pictures of it. The metal and black rubber around it.

It's all laid out there with clear instructions on what needs to be modified in MEF's ZCP H&R Spring write up. If you have access to a machine shop this should be easy peasy.

actually MRF write-up is not clear on what part to shave down, i know bc i was following that as a guide and re-read it about 5x. I ended up skipping that step as my original ZCP top mounts looked like the cut-down example in MRF write-up.

There's only one area you can even modify: the bottom of the top mounts. You can't touch the top side of it anyways, that would make it useless.

Shave 8mm off the bottom of the mounts.
