Rip off UK
Well, what can I say. I was quite happy being ignorant of the prices of gas in the US, as in the UK fuel had come down to 99.9p per litre for V-power. UK Govt announced a 2p hike in fuel duty to compensate for the reduction in VAT (Value added tax) being implemented on 1st Dec (recession mitigation measure). The 2p hike is permanent and the decrease of 2.5% in VAT is temporary. I'm guessing that the US motorists have some pretty strong lobbying going on??

Paid $1.90 for V-power around here on Tuesday, amazing....$27 bucks to fill my tank
I never thought I would see gas prices in the US this low again, I can't believe it will drop much lower tho, which is fine by me. Hopefully it will be a while before it starts going back up. Great time to enjoy the M! |

Filled up my tank at 89.5 cents a liter with Sunoco 94 here in Toronto. That's pretty cheap for us. I think the US gallon price is still cheaper though.
