Level check every 2500mi, change at 7500mi. Most went the intercooled route. Not even certain if a non-intercooled kit will even be released again, so too soon to tell. Quote:

Right. Point is peak numbers are virtually identical to VT2-625 kits when properly compared. It's a good update, but not much of an upgrade IMO.

I have not really studied the charts, but would be looking not at peak numbers but rather at 2000-4000 rpm torque numbers. Are those virtually identical?

This is not intended to be an an upgrade path for your VT2 kit. Completely different system.

Rod bearing job is strongly recommended before supercharging, correct?
What does regular maintenance look like on a supercharged motor? Curious what is required above and beyond the regular maintenance on a stock S65. The kit looks great!

Yes RB are recommended. Maintenance is the same except people usually change plugs every 10k.

Here's a comparison of G1 supercharger w/ 96.5mm pulley vs VT2-625 supercharger. Close in comparison, with a little more bottom end grunt from the G1. All runs on ACN91.
G1 Comparison runs on ACN91 w/ 96.5mm pulley and 93 octane w/ 94mm pulley.

Very minor differences. Not enough to me to make a difference, but were I buying new and without a budget, I’d choose the G1+ and add meth.

Similar, and including all the other factors (lighter weight, cooler discharge, ultra-quiet, etc) discussed beforehand.

Just that it doesn't spit out oil at the track sounds wonderful. Lighter weight and cooler are additional benefits

How long does meth last for? Is it useable for a DD or is it only for the track?

Usage depends on how much time you spend above the meth trigger point. Ideal trigger is load based. Aquamist uses injector flow to determine load, and starts spraying progressively. Mine is set to start at about 40% duty cycle. I drive each car 6-7k miles per year and don’t drive like a hooligan all the time so my meth usage is low. I buy about 15 gallons a year. Diluted 50/50, that’s 30 gallons I spray. I know people who track their cars and go through almost a gallon of mix in a 20 minute session. |
