Bond 25 cast unveiled!

Rami Malek is on a great ride. I think he'll make a great villain. Last Bond film for Craig. Can't wait.

The new Bond girl, Ana De Armas is really pretty. I remember her from the Blade Runner movie.

Mixed emotions for me on this one. Looking forward to the next Bond film; however, disappointed that it will be the last with Craig. He’s excellent as Bond - one if the best in my opinion.

I thought Casino Royale was excellent. The other Craig films have been OK. But much better than most of the others since Connery left.

Absolutely agree; personally, Skyfall is my favorite. While some Craig films are admittedly better than others, I believe, as a whole, brought credibility back to both the Bond character and the franchise. I lost interest with Brosnan, but Craig brought me back.

I think, ultimately, the Bond films and how you view them are directly related to the era you grew up in and how you were exposed.

The first time seeing Bond films in the theater for me, was during the Roger Moore and then Timothy Dalton era. As such, even though many folks think poorly of Dalton - I love those films. I also watched all of the films with Pierce Brosnan in them as I got older and those also strike me as enjoyable.

I struggle with Craig as Bond. I think it honestly has less to do with him and more to do with (a) that his films seem to be more of a backtrack to the origins of Bond and that bugs me for some reason and (b) they seem to be much more serious and take themselves much more serious. I liked the slightly kitsch and tongue in cheek attitude of the older films and the newer ones don't seem to have it.

Just one man's opinion.

Initially I thought Roger Moore was the best Bond. I loved Moonraker (I was 12? when it came out). Though I still like Moore, the actual films were corny. I really love Goldfinger, and From Russia with Love was great, but so many others are just OK. I thought Casino Royale brought a certain grit that I appreciated.

But it's hard to beat the Connery 1 liners, or the Goldfinger villians. And the well thought out plot.

Ditto in regards to your last paragraph. Craig just seems so serious about everything, that it takes away the fun side of bond.

they dont really seem like bond movies, but more like all the other spy type movies with some more gadgets.

I enjoyed Spectre the most since Casino Royale.

Really found Quantum of Solace to be lame and forgettable.

I think your last line really hits it on the head. They are good movies, but they don't feel like 'Bond' movies to me.

Perhaps that is the issue.

I only liked Casino Royale of the Craig movies so far. Quantum of Solace was the worst but Spectre is only slightly better.

Like other people said, the Craig movies is not as fun to watch as other Bond movies. It's way too serious.

I am enjoying the current batch of connected Mission Impossible movies much more than Bond now. Starting with Rogue Nation, they have a great story and lots of spy action.

I think that’s what I like best about the Craig films - the serious, gritty, tone throughout. Plus, you get to see the arc of his character; earning his License to Kill, losing the woman he loved, becoming jaded, Craig’s Bond brings us the most character development. And perhaps the most relatable Bond too.

As I said, I liked Casino Royale. It is one of the great Bond movies. Awesome characters, suspense and you actually cared for them. I also have no problem with the continuous storyline. But the story line is getting a little too convoluted.

Quantum of Solace showed it all fall apart. The movie was a disaster. Skyfall had a origin story that pretty much mirrored Nolan's Batman. Then a terrible scene at the Bond mansion that was straight out of Home Alone. Spectre was not much better and only served to continue the story. They threw back some of the fun elements from past movies but again, it was derivative - not original.

Just look at the Rotten Tomatoes ratings for the movies. The ratings jump all over the place. They just cant get the formula right.

Casino Royale - 94%
Quantum of Solace - 65%
Skyfall - 92%
Spectre - 64%

I hope they can pull it together for the last Craig Bond movie.

I really hope they can pull off something to top that for the next movie! I thought Rogue Nation was good, then Fallout blew me away. They got some big shoes to fill for the next movie.

Craig is my favorite Bond. Some story line mis-hits along the way, but I still think he’s the best. I hope he goes out on a bad ass high!

For me, this whole franchise was ruined and stopped at GoldenEye. Brosnan killed Bond (not single-handedly, he wouldn't be capable ) and Craig isn't even funny, rather miserable (not solely his fault, the franchise is in the snivel gutter).

Oh, shit... It must take all the makeup in the world. What a hard job for Craig! Is he only 51? Looking like an old man. He should've quit before. A Bond boy should be upcoming. "Second new Bond girl" conveys that rather clearly.
