Anybody else kind of intrigued by the CLA45 AMG?
Cuz I am. A little bit. The only things that I'm not really nuts about are the lack of a true manual transmission (7 speed dct only) and the front-biased all wheel drive. It's kind of small too. Seems like a slightly more refined Evo or WRX. It's got the worlds most powerful production four cylinder 355 hp from 2 litres.
Not sure i could give up my stick and clutch pedal though |

Our standards seem to be slipping...here is is almost 2014, and suddenly 50k for a 4 cyl. is ok, stamped steel suspension components is ok, a completely fake dual exhaust where two pipes come out of the same muffler like the Pontiac G6 and Nissan 350Z is ok, but I thought a RWD platform was sacred? Apparently we're ok with FWD/AWD as well???

360HP out of a 4 cylinder is impressive but overall, it's nothing to write home about

To the people complaining about $50k for a 4 cylinder.. 528i's start at $47-48k just like the CLA45. & the Benz has over 100 more HP! Now they are completely different cars but we're talking motors here, correct?

I dunno. The power specs seem pretty impressive. 0-60 in 4.2 seconds is nothing to sneeze at either. I'd have preferred an AWD system with either a rear-biased torque split like xDrive or a 50/50 torque split like I had on my WRX

It is an impressive engine but it's still an entry level MB with a 4 cyl and FWD. It shouldn't start at $49k. More like $35k.

Mid $40s for a base. Plus around $10K markup for it. I'd say not worth it.
