Kind of high. I would give it $62k if it's DCT and $60k if it's 6sp.

Garage List
2013 BMW X5 M  [0.00]
2011 BMW M3  [0.00]
Get the service history and make sure it's not a repaired lemon car that someone else returned.

You could pay less than $64.5K for a brand new car via European delivery. Even with DCT option.

It's a DCT. Maybe next time for European delivery, can't make it this year.

I think if you could do 63K it'll be worth it..the only issue I have is that why would one ditch a brand new M3 with 3500 miles on it..if it was some reason like (financial, unexpected event, just didn't like it and decided to go with the GT3 or GTR afterall) Then this car is the best of 2 worlds..brand new minus depretition..but if it was any of that:
a problem that couldn't be fixed
multiple frequent issues
a major problem that got fixed but owner can't trust this car anymore
Then even it they give me this car for 30K I won't take it

Thanks for the input. I'll get the service history of the vehicle.

You are at an advantage if you're paying cash or getting outside financing since BMW has no supported programs for used 2011 models. It's not going to be as easy for them to sell.

1) go to edmunds.com and build the car
2) add training ($200), maco (region dependent -- probably around $200 since that's what it is for dc-area dealers), and $500 for dealer profit -- that's what you can get the car for brand new
3) decide how much of a discount off new (as calculated in step #2) you're willing to pay for a used car, understanding that risks/downsides of a slightly used car...imho, those risks/downsides would require at least a $4k discount...

sorry, but just to clarify, add the stuff from step #2 *to the invoice price* you get from edmunds.com...

That's what they can get, even for a used one. I paid only $3k more for a car with more equipment. BUT, you need to order and wait 2 months. Virtually no new car inventory anywhere, so dealers can charge a fair penny even for a quick turn in. Nevermind that they only gave the guy $55k for the trade in.

This is going to be a painful wait. I know this from experience

I sold my 330i a few months ago and have felt an empty place in my garage ever since.
