Resonator delete or secondary cat with dinan exhaust

I'm looking for a little bit more sound without too much more raspiness or drone. My understanding is that second cat delete would be better for that. However I'm having trouble getting any muffler shop or fabricator to do that for me here in CA. They are willing to remove resonator but I'm concerned about raspiness and drone. Doc folks have input on how much different these two options are with a dinan exhaust ??? Much appreciated

Res delete will give you drone, secondary cat delete will give you more rasp. Its really one or the other.

Maybe try getting the RKP (Challenge) street x-pipe and see how that sounds? That x-pipe removes the 2nd cats. If you don't like it, you can sell it and swap OEM back in.

hmm. that actually might make the most sense with the RKP Challenge X pipe. that said, is that option better than buying a used OEM X Pipe and removing the cat as it's a $1000 bucks.

I don’t think it’s easy to swap back from the Challenge Street.
Spare X pipe route will be $600ish after getting a clean pipe and then pipes installed in place of secondaries. But, there’s a reason why that’s not a popular approach.

agree. makes sense. Only the challenge street would also require that I get some primary cats to weld onto the challenge street otherwise swapping back would be another cut... yes?

The street version is installed right after your primary cats. So if you were to revert back to OEM, you wouldn't need to buy anything else. You can essentially swap back and forth no issues at all. Here is a thread about it below.

Noise of the original silencer with a no cats car is very good and easy to replace

What happens if you replace the secondary cats with a quad resonated x-pipe. All other components remaining OEM... just wondering...
