What are your LTFT’s at idle?

My 2011 M3 has -20% long term fuel trims at idle. Pretty much goes away while driving but anytime I stop it’s right back to -20%. Short terms are always near 0% at idle.

sounds like either you have an exhaust leak around the O2's or an injector is sticking open. NO way it should be -20% at idle.

You're running stupid rich

If you have an e92 M3 can you plug in and check. As soon as I get off idle I’m near 0% the entire time I drive. I’ve read bmw literature that says to not let these cars idle so I’m wondering if this is just a weird quirk. No exhaust leaks. New Bosch 02’s. Not running like it’s rich and doesn’t smell. No smoke. Injectors are not leaking. Good gas mileage. Just passed smog.

Same "Problem" for me. LTFT near 0% when i put my foot on the throttle. At idle LTFT are -25%.

Exhaust gaskets are new ans O2 sensors are new too.

Anybody ? Thanks

I think this might be normal for this car. It passed smog easy and doesn’t have any problems. Bmw says don’t let this car idle just start it and go. If I see another one I’ll check the numbers.

I’m having same issues and replaced exhaust gaskets but no change even though they were leaking.

On this subject- how do you view fuel trim in ISTA?

Something like this:

Additive = STFT
Multiplicative = LTFT

Btw I think that at idle only STFT are used.
