removing interior wood overlays?

So previous owner install cheap wood overlay kitkincar curious what's the safest and best option to get rid of this ugly stuff..? Appears there is a adhesive backing on the overlays. Worst part is it's on windown switches and completely around radio ..Any feedback is great appreciated!
