The salesperson was pretty tight lipped about the rs5, but he did say he thought it would be out sometime in '09.
There were rumors that they are putting lamborghini's V10 engine in the rs5, but quite frankly I don't see how they could fit it into the car. I think a better guess would be Audi's RS4 engine along with twin turbos that should put it over 450+hp. Let's all agree I don't think you can go wrong on a S5, M3, or RS5. I just wanted to put my name in for the s5 since they are so rare where I come from. IMO it blows bmw's 335i away on looks, along with AWD, and of course "cache" lol And let's be clear. The engine sound of the S5 is hot!! It rumbles beautifully. My dealer guessed the RS5 would only go for around $10,000 more than the S5. If this is true, I may decide to wait longer and switch my deposit towards it. Just waiting for more details to come out. In the meantime, I shall test the M3! Nice to have options. |

that's coz sales people dont know jack about the cars produced or sold. believe it or not. if you go to a audi forum u'll know much more than the sales person.
RS5 sounds like it's going to be a beast. S5 is not, im seriously not being biased. i'd like u to drive the 2 cars back to back. but like someone said "if you have to ask S5 is for you" |

Disagree on the S5 vs 335i, I drove both prior to picking the S5 and in no way would I have placed the 335i up there with the S5. It all down to what you value most, yes it's very close in performance ON A DRY TRACK, but on the road or in the wet it's game over for the BMW. Then consider the looks and the S5 is in a totally different league to the 335i, both inside and out, the 335i feels and looks ordinary by comparison. When you drive the S5 it you know everyone is noticing you, it makes you feel important, it makes you feel special. You do pay more for the pleasure of driving the S5 but to those of us who have the extra dosh to buy it the car is clearly worth every single pound/dollar. |

Besides, this may seem unimportant to some, however I am single and I would say most women couldn't give a damn whether a car is slightly faster on the track under normal conditions. A woman will just go on the sound of the engine, and the way it looks. The S5 sound combined with the red leather is pure sex on wheels my friends! |

I really doubt that this guess on pricing will turn out to be correct...

I will not deny that I am an Audi fan, I have had far more Audis than BMWs and if Audi produce a car an entertaining as the M3 then I will be back there once again. But the fact that I have ordered an M3 proves that I enjoy all brand and champion engineering and design more than any one brand.
Are you telling me that you would solely consider BMWs and no other brand. If so then you are showing your true colours = FANBOY. |

Well gentleman,
Just test drove the C63. Wow! The torque and HP is sick. The suspension is stiff but not as bad as I thought it would be. No one was around on the highway, I hit the brakes hard coming to a full stop, then floored it up to 80mph. Never felt anything like that before. The front end styling is gorgeous, the back end was not as bad as I thought but was not great. Interior easily beats the M3 IMO. Seats are very nice. I may have to get my deposit back on the Audi! Now I just need to test the M3 before I make my final choice between the 3. |

I think the C63 could be a real handful in a Canadian winter. If you want that much grunt wait for the RS5 and get AWD, or be happy w/ the S5. If I recall your 1st post you said you didn't really need that 10/10ths performance.

+1 If it were only that little a premium for the RS5 go RS5 FTFW!

To me the C63 is a sexed-up 'C' and the only thing that would attract me is that engine. There's clearly a reason why C63's are being pitched cheaper than M3s: lack of the M-car's racing heritage; M division starts from the ground-up; C63's a 4-door and then there's shows / reviews like Top Gear's which shine a light on the C63's issues. But if you wants some major power slides then it's a good choice (but in Vancouver winter? .. a mate of mine up there took the RS4 > M3 for the AWD).
