My bet is this car outperforms far more expensive cars. I would also wager that the ZR1 variant will run rings around most anything else out there including 458's, Lambos, etc. All speculation but I'll put $100 on it.
ZR1 is a different car and a different price point. The idea here for me, would be for the base C7, with whatever suspension and handling options are available, to be so good that I would not need to consider even a Z06, much less a ZR1 version.

And about your GTR. How the hell do you feel more connected to a lifeless car? Its been criticized over and over again as being a robot on the street. I guess different strokes for different folks
Hey, I know I'm bucking the internet trend, but I feel a lot more connected in my GT-R than I ever did in my Z06. The steering is a ton more communicative and I feel I know what the car is doing underneath me. In the Z06 I never had much of an idea when those meaty rears were going to throw out. Believe me I am not ****-talking the Z06, it's the best sports car per dollar - period.

But the GT-R is a video game car, it sucks, is a lifeless Japanese car, etc etc
I'm wondering if it was your tire choice on the z06 that gave it its unpredictable and numb feeling? The z06 feels numb on the highway but once on track or in a turn the steering has plenty of input. Also I just swapped on some Michelin super sport tires and its another beast all together Over the runcraps...

The runcraps are $hit. I hated them. Not too long after I got my Z06, I switched to 19/20 HRE's with non runflat Michelin Pilot PS2's. It transformed the car. It was very responsive and predictable. A much quieter ride. It also had more steering feel. Tires alone will transform the Z06.

I ran Nitto Invos for a while and was ready to trade the car because it felt numb. Now with the Michelin PSS the car once again feels agile and connected

The more I look at it, the more I like it. To the point where I now actually want an American car.

Still don't care for the rear end.

Two tone back, camaro lights, and the centered quad exhausts tips.:-/

The rest is hot though.

I took a lot of pictures but for some reason can't post them here.
I'll upload them to Photobucket and post a link,

You can hate on chev or the looks and personally I probably wouldnt end up buying one just because I can access a higher price point for same performance but for the money (even not for the money) the performance for 65k car is simply outrageous

Use of aluminum and carbon fiber, 3100 pounds, will be at 500 hp in a couple years after release as they always bump power. Come on, how can anyone say this is not just a freak of nature for the price.

Love the look

Yeah read up on this. Not A Chevy or American car fan but I'd def cop one of these if the prices are reasonable. Not ZR1 112k reasonable. Max 75-80 I'd pay

Are you familiar with the Perrelli P zero's?? Have them on my M3 and I hear 50/50 on these and the mps2's! I like the tires but they need time to warm up and from what I hear the MP are pretty good at warming up a lot quicker and softer.. So kinda catch 22 I think

My lease is up next January, will definitely be giving this a few test drives. My major apprehension is the EPS, corvettes already had poor steering feel with hydraulic... On the other hand they are using a unit very similar to the 991 unit which I heard was good. A lot of technical info in this video:
