Adding resonators and HFC to x-pipe?

Is it feasible to add 2 resonators and 2 HFC's to an x-pipe that has neither?

I do not like the raspy sound of a resonator-less x-pipe, and my car is still under warranty and I'd rather not bring up a CEL and want to be emissions compliant.

What would I need from a HFC standpoint to keep it compliant?

First off even adding a set of HFC in the primary position may still give you a CEL. Something along the Fabspeed setup can work with 02 extenders but even then its a crap shoot if you get a CEL or not. Problem with adding HFC in the primary position is that they still will hang below the bottom of the car and scrape on bad speedbumps, etc. Adding resonators is no issue. I did this with a Riss Racing Xpipe I had (sold it, similar to the Fapspeed setup and it rubbed on speedbumps and such) and it removed most of the rasp.

If you really want to be emission compliant put the stock xpipe back on...

I have a stock x-pipe on, I'm just looking at options.

if you dont want CEL your only option is keeping the stock primary cats, anything after market will throw a CEL even the ones advertise that their systems dont will eventually throw a CEL.

the only option is a tune, i waited till my warranty ended to get a full system and a tune, some people do it even under warranty. it all depends on your relationship with your SA.

Just get some Turner test pipes and a tune. It'll be cheaper than getting an aftermarket X-pipe.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

You can buy a Burger Down Pipe Fix for $95, but it takes about 45 minutes to install or remove. The problem with taking even a high flow cat x-pipe in to the dealer is that the dealer may note the aftermarket part in car's history and attempt to deny a warranty claim in the future. You can remove and reinstall the Burger Down Pipe Fix and/or the x-pipe prior to servicing or warranty work, but then you are looking at a couple of hours of work.

The answer to the original question is that you can cut up a catless and resonator-less x-pipe and weld in resonators and cats. Figure on $50 each for the resonators (or $100 each for cats), and $25 per tig weld (2 welds per item) if you have it tack welded. If you are paying a shop to remove the x-pipe, cut it up and weld in resonators, you will pay a lot more since they are doing more than just welding. You could just sell what you have and buy a used x-pipe in the configuration you want.

Garage List
I have had a aftermarket exhaust since day one of owning it and no problem with dealership. I guess it all depends on which you go with
