Snapped some photos of the new daily and the M3
I've been searching for a nice, fun, yet reliable/cheap to maintain daily driver. In the midst of that search, luck was on my side and I came across this one and a desperate seller.
I firmly believe everyone needs to own an E90 6MT 328i RWD at some point (this being my second). They are so agile and fun to drive, they have just enough tech for a modern car to keep you happy, rather inexpensive to maintain/repair, and with the LCI they still look fresh. Oh and the epic fuel economy doesn't hurt either I've been averaging 9.2L/100KM (27 MPG) on this little thing! Compared to the S65's insatiable thirst, this is a very welcome change Anywho, onto the details! 2009 328i Space Gray on Black Dakota leather 6MT RWD Logic 7 PDC Satellite Radio Comfort Access Sport package Premium Package Cold Weather package Interestingly this one has a black headliner and High Gloss Shadowline trim. Decoding the VIN also shows it has M Sports suspension. Turns out in Canada, Sports Package consists of these perks! All I need are M Sport bumpers and it will be just like my previous 328i, lol. First order of business was to remove front seats, all interior trim, and vacuum + shampoo all carpeting and remove all grit and grime and liquid stains. I also replaced the driver's door rubber seal as it was torn. I wrapped the interior trim in gloss black vinyl because **** wood trim. The start/stop button had the typical peeling trim and I wanted to order a new one but I figured I'd attempt a DIY fix first; I sanded off the peeling rubber surround and painted it black. Looks just like new and saved myself $100 . I wish I took before and after photos of all the "refurbishing" on this car. Then it was time to address some mechanical issues: I replaced all four rotors and pads as they were worn to shit. I have never seen rotors this bad. Cabin filter and air filter were also replaced, although both looked as if they'd been recently done. Now that she drive's like a BMW should, it was time to make her look like a BMW should. Here are some photos ater a wash and one coat of carnauba wax and sealant: M3 creepin' And to stay relevant on M3Post *th-up*: .

used to get that 328xi auto as a loaner every time before the F30 came.
such a good ride, reliable, easy to maintain silky inline 6, good mpg, and especially now so cheap (esp those 328xi base with auto...all over the place)

Love the Duals. I have a sparkling graphite '07 328xi MT. Helps to have the AWD (3 of our cars have awd). I've wondered what the RWDs are like.

Thanks. I try and keep it that way - maybe to the detriment of fully enjoying it, lol.

Nice combo! Your M is nicely modded as well, very clean.
It's not even Halloween yet man and you got Christmas lights up?! Haha.

Very nice DD. I'm sure the rwd 6mt drives very different than the auto xdrive I used to get as loaners. Those were heavy, slow, and got worse mpg than my 335 at the time. Would love to have yours though.

Lovely pair in mint condition - how many miles on them? Nice to see these in such condition without plastidip, bags, and stretched tires.
The LCI E9x 3 Series are timeless like the E46, in my opinion. Perfect size, classic BMW design elements. I love the F80/2, but their regular siblings look good only in M Sport lines; otherwise they lack the "fizz", as James May says. Especially a base 4er is so bland compared its predecessor. I know, I am biased because we've had an LCI AW E91 with M Sport pack for about 8 years now... but even today it looks as fresh as it did in Autumn 2008. I still step back and keep staring at the car when I am finished with washing, and whenever I see a 3 Series of this generation on the street, I take a second look and check it out. Yeah, I am that weird, haha. Well, oops, this is longer than anticipated. Sorry. Enjoy the cars. #E9xlove

John @ Auto-Links near Kennedy/401 did all the paint protection film (XPel Ultimate) on my car: whole hood, front bumper, side mirrors, front fenders. He's also done tint for about 5 cars for myself over the years and a few friends'/family as well. Great guy and great shop. Tell him I sent you.

And I agree, whenever I see a M-Sport or unique coloured older BMW (i.e.. E90/E60/E46/E39) I break my neck. I probably admire them more than heir actual owners
